September Love with Food Review

The day I finally got my August Love with Food post up, I got my Sept box! And it's amazing. Really, best ever. Who would have thought I'd be in love with the gluten free month!?!?

Love with Food:
Type: Food Box
Cost: $12/month includes shipping
What is it?: Get a box filled with gourmet samples each month. Taste the deliciousness and then buy your favorites at their store for large discounts. One of the best things about Love with Food is that they donate a meal to a hungry child for every box bought- 50,220 meals donated thus-far. Use my referral link and use promo code FBFOOD or FBGIFT to get your first box free (just $2 for shipping)!

The box

First look

CJ doesn't remember if there was a card or not... I'm guessing he accidentally chucked it. Sometimes he takes the unboxing pics for me- they are usually the better ones.

This month was gluten free stuff curated by Chef Ming Tsai- I already knew via e-mails from Love with Food- good thing with no card for the review!

Good Boy Organics- Organicassaurus Cheddar Cheese Snacks: These were nummy. Like pirate's booty but cheddar cheese. I'm thinking bout ordering them in the Love with Food store with points- I don't care that they are shaped like dinos and are for kids. They tasted great and were only 70 cals! Price: $1.50

Barefruit- Crunchy Cinnamon Apple Chips: Haven't tried these yet but I always like apple chips- 100% natural- woot. I've never tried barefruit before but I know they are a good brand. Price: $1.50

Cosmos Creations- Cinnamon Crunch: Many months ago Love with Food sent out this brand in a caramel variety and it was delish. This cinnamon variety- the bomb. For realsies- it's sooo good. I haven't really had cinnamon popcorn before and I have no idea why! It's genius. And these filling packets are 100 cals!!! I bought some via Love with Food and can't wait for them to come! I know some stores nearby sell Cosmos (but not in the snack-size) so I can always stock up on my own. Price: $1.40

YumEarth Organics- Fruit Snacks: If you don't like fruit snacks, I'm not sure I want to know you. Fruit snacks are soo good. That princess variety? The shark ones? You know what I'm talking about. Anyway, these were flippin' scrumptious. Pop-able bites of goodness. I wanna stock up on them and have them everywhere I go! Price: $1.08

Millies Savory Teas- Sipping Broths in Indian Spice and Spicy Tortilla: Sometime this year (winter-ish), Love with Food sent out the tomato variety and I loved it. Perfect for when you have a cold! These look a little more tea-connected but I'm still game! It's like sipping a delicious soup with all the throat-saving broth goodness. Price: $1.71

Dipin- Pepper & Artichoke Brushcetta: Mmm, love bruschetta! So, little to-go containers of a bruschetta dip version? Sounds awesome. Haven't tried it yet since I want to have it with little baked toast pieces. Btw, can I say a giant pet peeve here? It's pronounced brusKetta. It's so easy- and yes, I speak Italian but you don't need to speak it to know how to pronounce this word! Favorite is ordering this atrestaurants and having the waiter say, "I'll bring you your bruSHetta out now." Rant over. Awesome product.
Price: $1.49

Betty Lous- Gluten Free Fruit Bar in Blueberry: This was delicious. Woah- caloric- it's basically sugar- but it was sooo good. CJ and I split it yesterday and mmm, mmm, it was good. I don't know if I'd eat it for breakfast or a snack or dessert, all I know is I would eat it cause it's yummy. Price: $1.43

Licious Organics- Honey Cookie in Cherry Berry: Gluten, Soy, Wheat, Nut-free, and it's unbaked oats. Weird. And really good. We split this and loved it. The organic raw honey gives it the perfect amount of sweetness. Only problem is how small it was! Price: $1.25

Wild Garden- Roasted Garlic Hummus Dip: I will be sooo happy if this is good! I love hummus and usually get the sabra brand since a lot of other store ones taste like poo. When they started making personal size ones, I was ecstatic and then I tried it. Not like the real thing. I have yet to find a to-go hummus that tastes as good as the big vats of it. Fingers crossed. Price: $0.66

Verdict: I hit $12.02 in value for this $12 box. Pretty right on the money. I can't even pick a favorite this month! The popcorn, cheese snacks, fruit snacks, fruit bar, cookie, everything was excellent. Excited to try the hummus and brushcetta to-go packs too! And... well everything!!! Seriously the best box yet! I recently used my Love with Food points to buy 3 (yes, 3, I had lots of points from many months) tins of popcorn and then I got this box of SOOO much stuff I wish I could use my points on. Dang, Love with Food (and Chef Tsai too), you're the best!
