September Bestowed Box Review

I reviewed a Bestowed Box back in June and loved it and love the company as well who have worked with me (and other bloggers) to supply great codes to let everyone try their box ($5 off listed below). When they offered to send me their September box, I jumped at the chance! They said the box would be jam-packed and woah-they were right! Check out the goods!

Bestowed Box:
Type: Food Box
Cost: $19/month includes shipping
What is it?: Every month, Heather Bauer, celebrity nutritionist and author, will hand-pick 5+ nutrition and lifestyle products to be delivered straight to you. Each box will include the products as well as an overview of each one, why it was included in the box, how to integrate it into your life, and where to purchase. My readers can use code 5OFFBESTOWED03 for $5 off.

The box.

First look.

SOO much stuff!

Bestowed had told me this box was full but my bf immediately went, "woah there is so much in there!" Guess it's true!

Info booklet

Each product has tips, where to buy, and an explanation on why Bestowed loves it. There is even a recipe for one product that sounds easy and delicious!

Lundberg Family Farms- Santa Fe Rice Chips: This gluten-free, non-GMO food looked yummy. And it was! The spices are perfect- I can't explain it- it's a bit like Garden Salsa Sun Chips but with more BBQ taste and with a better consistency (says CJ and I). Tons of whole grains (organic whole grains) and it's from a family-owned farm committed to sustainable farming. LOOOVE that. Price: $0.84

Miracle Noodles- Angel Hair Noodles: Take a look at that list: Gluten-free, soy free, zero calories, cholesterol free, vegan, woah, woah, woah, back up... zero calories. Shut your mouth. What is this devilry? When is PASTA ever zero calories? I want to try this now! If it's delicious, my mind will be blown and dieting will take on a whole new light! Bestowed Box sent out a recipe with fresh tomato and basil sauce that sounds soo easy (no-cook) and yummy. I'm trying it and I'm excited! Price: $3.09

SeaSnax- Grab'n'Go Roasted Seaweed Snacks: Seaweed snacks are crazy good for you. Barely any sodium or fat and no sugar, trans fat, cholesterol and this is gluten free with no MSG. It's also non-GMO verified. I get it, but I just can't get into it. I got two kinds of seaweed snacks this summer when I was away from home so this will be the first one CJ gets to try. I'm guessing he'll love it. The end. Price: $1.49

Mighty Leaf- Sunburst Green Iced Tea Pouch + coupon: Weirdly enough we may have been most excited for this... Mighty Leaf makes the BEST Iced Tea. I'm not kidding. We got a box of the Ginger Peach in a PopSugar Must Have and we lived on that iced tea- it's delicious. Why we haven't bought any more is a mystery to me! We got Sunburst Green in this Bestowed Box AND a coupon to buy more. Done and done. We have a new iced tea dispenser too (a pretty, glass one) and it's the perfect drink to have when you need a little something more than water or a boost of caffeine. Price: $3

Cascadian Farm- Crunchy Granola Bar: Bestowed says it best, "Everyone loves a good granola bar." Truth. I love granola bars- they are handy and delicious. I tend to, unfortunately, eat the ones with a billion ingredients which all have 100 letters per word so this will be a good trial one for me. I'm sure I'll eat it Sunday morning since I'm always running out the door for my church job with a granola bar in hand.
Price: $1.07

Living Healthy World- Flax'n'Chia Stix: I strangely enough have not tried chia but have only heard great things. Chia seeds and flax seeds bring you omega-3s and other nutrients to make you and your heart healthier. These mixers already have both seeds together, all I need to do is mix 'em in to something delicious! Price: $2.67

Noosa Yoghurt Coupon: I'm including this coupon since it's not just $0.50 off blah blah. It's a FREE 8 oz container. AKA they sent out Noosa Yoghurt without sending a refrigerated diary product in the mail. Noosa is CJ's favorite and the only reason I have stuck to greek yogurt is because of the calorie count. Noosa is only a little higher though and is creamier and more delicious. Time to cave. Plus it's from the Rocky Mountains in CO- so home calls to me! Price: ~$3

Nakano- Seasoned Rice Vinegar: Bestowed Box says this is the condiment you never knew you needed. Put it on salads and roasted veggies and it's only 20 cals per serving. That sounds excellent. I'm all about some yummy roasted veggies! Price: $4.49

REBOOT: This is a 20 cal drink powder that will combat oxidative stress. Whaat?! This GMO free drink fights oxidative stress which occurs when your metabolism doesn't fully neutralize free radicals. This stress can precede chronic conditions, weight difficult, fatigue, and signs of aging. This is a 3-day supply which would be a good tester since there are times to take it for immediate relief like after excessive food indulgence, before/after exercise, traveling especially by air, etc and for long-term benefit you can take a 6 month supply. I'm crazy intrigued. I have tons of health problems and am game to give this a shot. Side note: apparently Ironman athletes love this stuff! Price: $13.99

Verdict: This $19 box ended up being valued at $33.64. Without the Reboot it had already paid for itself and then that puppy put it way over the edge. I really liked this month's Bestowed Box- more so even than my June box- they said they were getting more products and they weren't kidding. The Rice Chips are amazing- CJ and I love 'em and we love getting Mighty Leaf tea! Can't WAIT to try the noodles (tonight?) and the more I read about reboot, the more I want to get started with it. The Flax'n'Chia stix, granola bar, yoghurt, rice vinegar, etc, it's all good! Too much to talk about! Definitely love for this box!

Check out the Bestowed Box website too- it's full of tons of nutrition information including products that aren't in their boxes. Super helpful!
