What is it?: Every month you receive a box of 4-6 beauty and lifestyle products. Each month there are about 30+ different boxes that you might be sent which makes each month a surprise. Birchbox is a great forum to learn about and discover new products and brands. Birchbox has a points system given when a subscription plan is purchased, reviewing products, and buying full-size products in their shop. Every 100 points can be used as $10 off. Use my referral code to get started but know that Birchbox has a waiting period of usually 4-5 weeks.

Whish- Exfoliating Body Wash: I've gotten a million body washes recently so I haven't tried this yet. I'm just finishing the first sample size one I started using (Ophelia's Apothecary) since I have one of those giant Jason body washes and I don't have room in my shower for a billion bottles. Anyway, I've gotten Whish's shave cream before and I liked it and this smells good so I'm ok with getting this product.
Price: $2.75
Whish- deodorant swipe: This extra is pretty strange but could come in handy as an "emergency wipe." We've all been there, stinky and in need of deodorant with nowhere to get some! I want to try it now but I think I'll save it and leave it in the car. Price: $1
OC8 Professional Mattifying Gel: Meh. These tiny foil packets were not thrilling to me. I love my primer so I haven't even tried these yet. I guess it's worth a shot but these are just pretty unexciting. Price: $1.82
KMS California- Freeshape Hot Flex Spray: I liked getting my first few travel size hair sprays but now it's gotten old... I don't really even use hairspray so this is another meh product. Price: $2.85

Stila- Stay all day liquid lipstick in beso: I love stila and I have a bunch of their lip glosses (glazes), I even got one in my Birchbox Head of Class box, but I'd never tried one of their lipsticks before though (liquid or otherwise). I LOVED getting this deep red and it's just as gorgeous on as it looks. It looks like a gloss but goes on like a lipstick. It's different but awesome. Love this! Price: $6.61
Verdict: August's Birchbox was definitely not the best. The whish products are alright but not outstanding and the OC8 and Hairspray are bleh to me. I DO love the stila lipstick and am sooo happy to have gotten a box with it! I wear dark red a lot for auditions and performances and having this travel-size gloss will be perfect! This $10 ended up being valued at $15.03. Pretty standard. Some cheaper items and one big 'un (the lipstick).
It's been so long that I don't have my box # down anymore (sorry) but no worries- September's Birchbox is just around the corner anyway! Here's a sneak peek at my box- have to see how I really feel once I get it in my hands!
