About Me

Hello all! I'm Laura and I am an aspiring young opera singer! Yep- you read that right. I am an opera singer spending her afternoons and nights rehearsing and performing and days trolling the web, checking out things I can't afford, buying beauty products, subscription boxes, and at times working on music.


Here I am backstage before a concert I sang last March with my makeup done by amazing Kristen Blair. I am in my early twenties and live with my amazing IT Tech boyfriend of 5 years, CJ. We moved from Colorado to Texas in 2010 and from Denton into the wonderful city of Dallas. I never thought I would love Texas but I fell for Dallas. I work for Dallas Opera and will hopefully have time to blog about the places you must go to/see in Dallas. Moving from Colorado to North Texas where Plano & Dallas are fashion powerhouses in this nation propelled me into loving and playing with makeup.

I love to buy new products, especially gamble on new Sephora products and can't wait to share my adventures with that. I have recently become OBSESSED with subscription boxes. I currently subscribe to 10 boxes: 2 beauty, 1 nail, 1 pet, 1 food, 1 drink, 3 lifestyle, 1 gamer one for my man. I've tried some others as well. I am a singer aka I live contract to contract and spend money I shouldn't on this stuff, thus the BROKE beauty blogger. But I love it all. I mentioned my 1 pet subscription box- that is because of my beyond adorable yorkie-poo puppy, Henry. Proof of his adorableness:
