August Love with Food Review

I'm mixing up my August and September reviews while I get caught up and especially trying to get August in before Sept boxes come in! Well, I failed! I wanted Love with Food up today because I was getting the Sept box soon and well- ta-da! It came today! Might have two Love with Food posts up in consecutive days. I had to post on August's box though since it was one of my favs from them yet!

Love with Food:
Type: Food Box
Cost: $12/month includes shipping
What is it?: Get a box filled with gourmet samples each month. Taste the deliciousness and then buy your favorites at their store for large discounts. One of the best things about Love with Food is that they donate a meal to a hungry child for every box bought- 50,220 meals donated thus-far. Use my referral link and use promo code FBFOOD or FBGIFT to get your first box free (just $2 for shipping)!

Sahale Snacks- Cranberries, Sesame Seeds, & Honey: I like the Sahale brand and have tried a bunch of their snacks but not this one. The mix is real yummy- I approve! Price: $1.05

Bop Organics- Sea Salt Potato Chips: I love chips and always have popchips and pirate's booty in the cabinet so I was excited to try this organic, gmo-free, baked chip! Uhhh... bleh. Not yummy to me at all. Boo. Price: $1.50

Dizzy Pig BBQ Co- All Natural Spice Rub: We haven't used this yet. BBQ in the 100 degree heat wasn't appealing... but now that it's a little cooler I'm game to try this. I'm heard nothing but good things from users. Price: $1.40

El Pinto- All Natural Salsa: This salsa (medium) sure had a kick. The hand-roasted, hand-peeled green chiles set my mouth afire... granted I was eating scores of it. I am not a great spicy foods person- I like it but can't take a lot of it so that's that. This was definitely delicious! Weenies like me can't handle too much but again, CJ and I were definitely fans! Is there anything better than good salsa and chips? Price: $1

Harvest Snaps- Snapea Crisps: Love with Food always sends out crazy crisp/chip things including chips made from tomatoes/plantains/etc. I'm not really an edamame person aka I don't like eating peas as is so this wasn't my thing but CJ said they were pretty good. Price: $0.79

Aunt Sally's Creamy Pralines in Original: Mmmm sugary goodness. No, this isn't good for you, or even ok for you. It's fudgy goodness that'll pack on pounds and it's oh-so-yummy. Really, this was delicious. I'm so glad they were sold out in Love with Food's shop since I don't need to shove my face full of them all the time! Price: $3.25

Rip van Wafels- Caramel Filled Amsterdam Wafel: These are in every box and I see why! I had it in my Juniper box and again in Love with Food and it's delicious. I have points for Love with Food and was thinking about using them for this... someone convince me this is a bad idea! Price: $1.70

Project7- Fresh Mints: I love these little tubes! Each tray of these sold plants a tree! I got one in another box and loved it and this is still being enjoyed as my purse mints. Price: $1.41

Verdict: On a product level I was really happy with August's Love with Food box. I really liked a few products and enjoyed the rest. A lot of times I end up feeling meh about everything but not this time- maybe the theme was too perfect for me? Anyway, the value ended up being worth $12.10 so right at the $12 point. Pretty good for stuff I probably would never try on my own.

Look for the September gluten-free review up soon!
