August Bespoke Post Review
Ok, this isn't technically our August Bespoke Post box. In fact, it just came in the mail yesterday. Our selected box was Aces (available this month- see the Sept Selection post here) but CJ really, really, really wanted the Frontier box (formerly called Hemingway). That box was crazy popular though and sold out right away, we went on a waiting list and ordered it as soon as it wasn't backordered. CJ has been waiting like crazy for it to ship so he's stoked it's here! Check it out!

Kaweco Fountain Pen: CJ crazily knows how to do good calligraphy and such (or he did once upon a time) so this fountain pen fits him completely. I wish it was black but I don't think he cares at all. I LOVE the tin- it's old-fashioned and kitschy. I can't write for crap with fountain pens so this doesn't involve me but I love seeing things written with this cool thing- I still have a calligraphy version of my name CJ gave me as the gift tag on my Christmas present when we were first dating. Comes with plenty of cartridges too!
Price: $29
Opinel No. 8 Pocket Knife: Knives are NOT my thing. Weapons in general are pretty ick to me but I get that boys will be boys. I hate opening pocket knives since the spring loaded feature always freaks me out. I swear I pull on it and it always jerks out and it feels like I'm about to slice my hand open! I took pics of this so I had to open it and was psyched that there was no spring. To keep to from falling back- you twist the metal ring to keep it from closing- sooo much better. This knife from an 1890 company is pretty cool- CJ, of course, think it's awesome, and I admit it looks pretty BA. Price: $18
Verdict: This $45 box ended up being worth $104, I'd say that's worth it! The hardcore bottle opener alone covered the price (which are on sale for $38 on Machine Era's site now), but everything was pretty pricey. Bespoke Post is one of our favs and one reason is because there is no way we would curate these expensive products on our own! Or even pick these products to be put together in the first place BUT they always end up amazing! CJ and I ended up ordering Aces for September- we figure we could become poker players some day! Check out Bespoke Post yourself and all the awesome boxes and items they have!

Machine Era- Bottle Opener- The Godwin: Machine Era is right!! This baby weighs a gajillion pounds! It's definitely a manly man's bottle opener. The whale totally fits in with the original Hemingway theme- guessing that was a copyright issue... Anyway, it's definitely industrial grade. Cold pressed steel. Grr.
Price: $48
Poppin- Notebook: I actually received my own Poppin notebook recently and they are pretty great. High quality and not too large. Glad I got my own recently since I would have otherwise stolen this! Obviously fits in perfectly with the fountain pen! Price: $9
