September Juniper Review
I got Juniper so early this month I forgot I forgot to post about it! This month was all about chocolate and all I can say is yes, please! Chocolate is queen! Check out the nummies this month.
Juniper:
Type: T.O.M. Box
Cost: $28/month
What is it?: This company which started up in 2013 delivers a deluxe box complete with your choice of tampons (20+), pads, pantyliners plus treats! Juniper begins each subscription registration by choosing from the 6 brands of tampons they offer (which you get a variety of absorbency) OR pads, then you choose whether you would like backup protection (pads/pantyliners), and if you would like some Midol thrown in! You choose the date you would like to receive the box and then the box has a phone number on it to text so they can track your monthly guest so your box will always be on time and continue customizing your box. Each box comes with a bevy of treats including honey sticks, chocolate, tea, snacks, etc! You get a starter box to begin and after that you work with Juniper to customize based on your needs.
Discreet packaging
Unboxing!
Ta-da!
I was sooo stoked when I opened this up and saw the pic of the glorious goodies!
Lynn, thanks for bringing in the chocolate! "It's time for chocolate." Amen!
Tampons: Boringness but obviously a big part of this T.O.M. box. Price: $8
Midol: Same thing each month- help in a foil packet. Price: $0.58
479° Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn: If you follow @getjuniper on twitter and tweet #lastbite to your favorite goodie, Lynn will send some more in next month's box. This sea salt caramel was my fav from August and sure enough- here was my extra goodie! P.S. follow @getjuniper if you don't already- sometimes special deals are posted there and she is pretty hilarious! Price: $1.58
Mighty Leaf Teas: Mighty Leaf makes my favorite iced teas and their regular hot teas are great too. I love that Chocolate Mint Truffle is included to fit this month's theme! Price: $2.20
Sasso Bar: What is this crazy goodness? I'm not usually a dark chocolate fan but this was the bomb. Lynn explains it as a Milky Way but WAY better. I agree on its uber deliciousness. Where did this come from? Where can I buy more? I want. I love that it says Candy for Grownups, although, I believe ALL candy is for grownups! I know what my #lastbite will be! Price: ~$2
Nature's Kick Honey Sticks: I have shockingly not devoured these all yet, but I always say I love these things and it's true. This month's varieties are Chocolate, Caramel Agave, and Wildflower. Mmm. Chocolate honey. Price: $0.26
Toffee Talk- Almond Toffee: Mmm toffee, it is heavenly sugary goodness in a bite! This woman-started brand lives up to toffee's legacy of scrumptiousness- the only reason it's not my favorite thing in this box is because everything was so good! Price: ~$2
New Tree Chocolate Leaves: This month 8 flavors (yes, 8, one was accidentally left out of this pic) of these tiny chocolate bars were sent out. I had tried some before in a Treatsie box and I could attest to their goodness. I ate all the milk chocolate ones first, cause they are my jam, but they are all good. My fav is Lait (traditionalist) but I ate them all just to be sure. Price: $2.32
Bart & Judy's- The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies in the World: Well, don't sell yourself short or anything... These dark Belgian chocolate cookies are to be enjoyed like wine! Really, they are supposed to breathe for two minutes before eating. They were good, little crunchy bites of chocolate. Best cookies in the world- no way. Yummy- yes. Price: ~$3
Verdict: I like salty snacks, healthy snacks, fruit, blah, blah, blah, but I'll be real, I'm a giant sweet tooth. Every month that Juniper sends out a sweet-focused box I am all about it. February is still memorable as is the month of discovering Jer's Bars (which I shamelessly buy now at Central Market). This month is right in the same mold, deliciously sweet bites. Love it. That sasso bar is my jam and everything else was, of course, gobbled up! This month's value is between $22-$24 depending on your protection needs. Pretty good for the box's pricetag considering they sent me a candy bar I literally can't get unless I live in the Bay area!! Thanks for the nummies once again Juniper, see you in October!
