Monday Musings
Another edition of musings to start the week!
- I got my Wisdom Teeth out last Friday. Super unexciting to most, I know. You're probably wondering, aren't you in your 20s?? Yep. Every year it was, not yet, not yet... my teeth just never came in. It was a now or never point this year. I only had 3 which was good but on the bad news front, I, for some reason, never went completely under. I felt the shots so that blew and while I don't feel much pain, I am SICK of this diet and swelling. For those who lose mega weight on liquid wisdom teeth extraction diets, kudos to you. I keep eating cheesecake, pudding, and the occasional frosty and have gained a gajillion pounds. In other words, I'm winning at life.
- Thankfully, even without thinking ahead, I'm not too behind in posts. Probably about 3 behind, but I can make that up no problem. The posts I need to do include my first Blush Mystery Box, Pretty Power Box, and Ophelia's Apothecary for sure. I am waiting on GLOSSYBOX- it just shipped! I had a problem with my sub (a weird glitch in my account) so it's taken longer to get out than usual. Also waiting on Loot Crate- I kept asking CJ about a shipping notice and "no, no, they don't send one..." Yes, they do. Turns out our package was deemed undeliverable by address. It has kind of happened before although not with Loot Crate. We've gotten it at our address before! Anyway, we live in a giant apartment complex but in a townhouse, as in we have no apartment number, sometimes USPS, FedEx, UPS decide our apt. number is missing and cannot be delivered, even though we have no apt number. Le sigh. First world problems. Hopefully will get this figured out soon.
- Other blog stuff? This week I want to do my Birchbox vs. Ipsy post, a Fancy finds post, a Sephora Haul post, and maybe some posts on my super increased vanity/makeup storage (I know, I need to do a DIY vanity post still), Birchbox limited edition boxes, Julep, and a July Favorite Things post! It'll include things I do, beauty products, boxes, and, well, my favorite things! AND a giveaway! Right now it's for one product but if I start making money with this blog I'll start giving away more items! I LOVE doing giveaways! I have one more already planned for August and I feel like if I hit 500 fans on FB I'll need to do one then and maybe another for my B-day!
- Don't forget to check my Codes page. I try to update it frequently. Anyway, my Doteable code expires this week!
- In other news, what's wrong with this game? Why is it so addicting? I staved off forever with this game and now I can't delete it! It wasn't a problem until I realized you can change your phone's clock to jump ahead and get lives. BOO! I am on the quests after level 80 so still low but too far in to quit. Boo Candy Crush, Boo!
- Trying to post more pics of my my manis. I did the Nicole O-P-I I got from Ipsy (Pretty in Plum) and Emmanuelle from Julep. I have 5 dots on this ring finger and three in a diagonal on the other. Someday I 'll actually take good pics of my manicure ideas.
- Maybe it's because I'm not leaving the house so I'm not doing my hair but I hate my haircut- I think she cut off 4 inches. WAY too much- I know it needed help but it's too short now. It looked cute curled but too short straightened. Henry got a haircut too and I hate it. I like him shaggier. This is him messy but shaggier in a before shot.
- I'm going crazy! TV, movies, and books are just not interesting me! I watched Orange is the New Black, hated it at first (too raunchy) and then watched the whole first season. It was good but not great. Please suggest something to watch/read! I've been dying for a new show where I get the "must watch one more" feeling or "read one more page." Everything is lackluster and I am kind of trapped inside with a swollen face. Can you tell I'm whiny? I'm annoying myself!
That's it. Maybe I'll be more coherent later but loads of posts and a new giveaway this week so stay tuned!

I've been looking at Orphan Black recently- just got the first season.
DeleteAnd yes, I was the one person who hadn't watched scandal... two days later and I'm halfway through season 2- you're the best. It's been on in my instant queue forever but so were a million other shows- I needed the push!

TV shows: I can't recommend Veronica Mars enough if you've never watched it, Top of the Lake (Netflix Instant).

Movies: Starlet is on Netflix Instant and is amazing!
VM is amazing- I binged on that two yrs ago- need to rewatch it all before the movie though... Top of the Lake is in my queue but I didn't know anyone who had actually watched it so now I have a real rec!

DeleteSo what do you do when you have a package, "undeliverable as address". I have just moved to a new apartment and have a feeling that all my packages will do this. Our address is on one street but the door/mailboxes on another street.

I have to look up Life- as for VM I am so anxious to see what happens in the movie with Logan and Veronica- I love their dysfunctional relationship.
DeleteWe contacted Loot Crate- it happened a lot when we last moved and we did two things. After the fact, contact the company since usually the shipper will have sent it back to the company and can't do anything to help you.
If you know there may be problems another way is to check the shipping (track it online) and change the shipping to the local FedEx/Post Office etc. You can select "pick up at local ___" if it is earlier enough. I did this with TheFancy etc when the shipping didn't change in time and I knew it would get sent back. Hope that helps!
