Monday Musings
- That's me! Today in fact. Well, pre-hair getting styled. I didn't want to forget to take a pic of my RocksBox stuff since I ALWAYS forget. Notice my surprise at having it be double-sided. Yes, I am this cheesy in real life. Dress is h&m and umm select makeup is a dior lipstick, cailyn eye liner, and my new fav cha cha tint from benefit (it's amazing). I post this since 1) I said I'd post more pics of myself and 2) RocksBox has a code for a free month right now: use FBrocks for a free month (and yes the links are my referral links)! - I'm all caught up on June posts- yes, it took me forever! Thanks to my bf for writing three posts- two of "his" boxes (Loot Crate and Bespoke Post ) and a NatureBox which he consumed himself while I was in NY. I love me some Bespoke Post especially because of our amazing fish tacos we made the other night with the stuff but it's still "his" box. I don't like relinquishing control of my blog so unless I drown in reviews again it's just me from now on.
-Speaking of reviews, I've posted like 20 in the past few days so get to speed-reading!
- I'm not working now, ahhh, and while I should be freaking out or searching for money hidden in our couch until Sept and work starts up, I bought some awesome things at the ModCloth sale. I'm a sucker for ModCloth and I always get like a million compliments on their stuff so what's a girl to do!??
- Ooo, the deep stuff. Aka the reason I didn't get reviews up faster this week and why my bf ended up helping me out. I have arthritis or really originally juvenile rheumatoid arthritis- I know it sucks, you don't have to tell me, and no pity needed. It's one reason I hate posting manicure pics since my fingers are so swollen from joint scarring. Anyway, I went to a new rheaumatologist last Wed after getting back from NY and he diagnosed me with another disease- turns out I have fibromyalgia. It's kind of a cyclical pain disease- you are in pain, you can't sleep, so you have pain, so you can't sleep blah blah blah. Anyway, it means there is a reason I don't sleep much and wake up feeling like poo. He gave me some stuff and well, I ended up being one of those lucky people who gets one of the side effects from the Rx. The side effect? Sleepiness. Like extreme sleepiness. I couldn't help sleeping all day! I was sooo tired. Anyway, I think things are balanced out but that's why I've been away from the blog even though I'm not doing 2 of my 3 jobs right now- I'll try to get back to it. And fingers crossed this surprise diagnosis makes me 100X better!

I hope you will let CJ write more reviews in the future-- I loved his Nature Box review. It was useful and fun. I loved his 'hipster niece' line.

I definitely recommend trying it! You can always cancel- it's cheap and it's been really good recently!
DeleteI've been struggling with arthritis and fibromyalgia for a few years myself. It's not easy, but I think it makes you appreciate the little things more...which is probably why I love sub boxes so much! And good news is they found where FM comes from, so now they can work on getting better meds for it! I hope the new meds help!!
