July Birchbox Man Review

First off, I surprised CJ with this sub, which was fun! I had no idea what to expect though since with Birchbox, a gift sub's first month isn't usually in line with the monthly boxes, as in you get a more "best of" box. Birchbox Man seems to be more stream-lined and you jump right into the normal stuff.

Victorinox Swiss Army- Forest Eau de Toilette: This is an amazing little cologne sample! I LOVE the packaging. You pull to open and press to spray. Genius. And CJ loved it. He tried finding it in stores the other day, he seemed clueless that you could buy it on the Birchbox website. That's ok, I'll show him. He actually used it all and you know you only use up a sample if you really love it. Point 1 for Birchbox Man. Price: $0.20

hook + ALBERT- Lapel Flower: I admit, I thought this was a bit ridiculous at first. CJ wouldn't really have the time to wear this. The thing is, a lapel pin looks weird when it's not pinned to your lapel! I looked at some pics of this on and it's awesome. I want to dress CJ up right now to wear it! Price: $30

Roosevelt Supply- Card Case: This is the thing about Birchbox Man, you don't get just get samples, you get stuff! This slim leather holder is perfect for occasions when you just want the essentials with you. Very nice. CJ seemed to really like it. Price: $25

GO247- Styling Cream: This long-lasting lightweight styling cream controls hair while keeping your look natural. CJ has already used it a bunch and says it works great! Don't know if he'll stray from his usual products but he likes using something new. Price: ~$5

Balla Powder: Is it weird that I'd heard of this before? I think it was in some documentary about weird niche products. It's premium talcum powder and I think the name says a lot. That's all I have to say. 

Verdict: A pretty solid start to Birchbox Man! The lapel pin ALONE paid for the box! A total value this month of $61.75!! That's crazy!! The styling cream may be a crazy over-estimate (no sizing on that) but even making it free only takes the cost down $5. 3 big samples AND 2 full-size lifestyle products? Score. We peeked at August's stuff and it looks awesome! Know that Birchbox Man ships early in the month (I just put this review off) and while it costs twice the amount as Birchbox you get a really big value!
