June GLOSSYBOX Review
Yes! One of my last June reviews! It'd seem like I waited forever to get to GLOSSYBOX but because of some subscription problems with them I didn't get this box till after July. No worries, I think it's all worked out now, but a certain GLOSSYBOX customer service rep I talked to back in early June had some bad information or read something wrong, I don't know. Anyway, the point is I got my June GLOSSYBOX in July which ended up working just fine with me! I was anxious about this box since it was super talked up and sometimes those can be a let down... you can only ever tell when you actually unbox so let's get to it!GLOSSYBOX:

The outer box.
I love GLOSSYBOX's actual packaging (inner box) but what is it with beauty boxes (Birchbox too) with having multiple boxes? Makes me bummed out for the environment- wasteful.
The Dallas Shaw box!
I like the regular pink box better. The drawing is pretty cool except her freakish eyes. Anyone else notice this?
I do love the GLOSSYBOX Mag.
Strange info card this month- it's on printer paper. Maybe they ran out of the regular card ones?
Seriously, such pretty packaging!
First look!
c.Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist: I knew prior to unboxing (I did a spoilers post so obviously I knew stuff) about a c.Booth product but honestly I knew nothing about c.Booth. This spray for face and body gives you instant radiance, hydration, and a lasting glow. It also provides a burst of "aromatic indulgence." Umm, this smells soooo good. I went ahead and sprayed it right on my face and well, I'm in love. This stuff is the bomb. Smells amazing AND totally provides nourishment. I'm sold. Price: $4
tarte- complexion enhancing lipstick in medium-tan: I don't know why this says it is specific to your skintone (medium-tan) since it totally works on me. It completely makes me have fuller-looking lips and the color is great- nude but rich. I LOVE tarte especially their liptints so I was stoked for one of their lipsticks! I admit to being disppointed when it was this "complexion enhancing" lipstick as opposed to a straight-up color but it ended up working out just fine. Price: $14.50
SpaRitual-Favorites Nail Polish in Adore: Can we all breathe a sigh of disappointment that this month's GLOSSYBOX did not include a Bondi polish as originally promised? And yes, I know they told us prior to shipping that Bondi wasn't included but I can still be disappointed. (Btw Bondi is launching their own sub service!) I get a lot of polish from companies but usually not like this... Cue my top right pic. Total gross separation. My OLD polishes get like this but I hate seeing new ones like that. I shook it up and it's fine but it's still not a great color. Maybe I'm biased since I opened up two other boxes in the sameday that had great polishes but whatever. My thoughts? Bondi was originally included and pulled out since they are launching their own service and didn't want to lose money from pairing with another company so GLOSSYBOX scrambled to find another 5-free polish. Boom. Probably not exactly true but that's what I'm telling myself. Price: $12
Philip B. Styling Gel: I think everyone got different Philip B. products but I'm pretty happy with my pick. I'm playing with the idea of actually debuting my naturally wavy hair! Craziness I know! I've gotten some tips from my curly-haired friends and styling gel is a great product for adding volume. We shall see... Price: $6
How cute is this bag?
Oscar de la Renta- Essential Luxuries Collection: Yes, I knew it was coming but it's still awesome to get SIX Oscar de la Renta scents in this box! Not a big fan of the Santa Domingo one but loved some of the others like Oriental Lace. It's gonna be fun to try them out and see which ones I actually like on! Price: $15
Verdict: Definitely not a pricey month this month with GLOSSYBOX since the priciest item ended up being the prefume sampler which, yes, it's expensive stuff, but that shouldn't be the holy grail of a sub box! Anyway, this box ended up being valued at $51.50 which is still over twice the cost of the box. Weird month this month but I should've expected it. Whenever something gets super amped up it doesn't end up being as great as it was talked up to be. That being said, I ended up with three pretty great things from this box and two usuable items. The polish and gel aren't exciting but I'll give them a try and the lipstick, sampler set, and spray are pretty awesome. Seriously, I'm lovin' how my face smells right now... super weird sentence. I've now re-subscribed to GLOSSYBOX- what can I say, I love it- sign up yourself with my link and use code SUMMER for a free OPI nail polish.
