Graze Review

You're doing a Graze review? Yep! I've done a few and I just canceled my sub (or permanently froze it- I could always start it again but don't see that happening anytime soon) and thought I'd recap it a bit!

Graze:
Type: Food Box
Cost: $5/week includes shipping
What is it?: This brand-new subscription service sends out a box every week full of snack full of healthy benefits that look super tasty! Their motto is graze: nature delivered- delicious, healthy snacks by mail. Their website is amazing and lets you check out every single snack. They also offer two options- the nibble box (over 100 products) AND the light option (each snack between 50-150 calories). I ordered the light and am excited to try it. Week 1 ReviewWeek 2

* I was doing a Graze code chain via my e-mail but it twice got backed up right at the very end- you are welcome to e-mail me for a code and cross your fingers it gets unstuck! If you have a code, you can send it my way and I'll send it on to someone too!

The box

First look.

Close-up.

The info card has nutritional info and mainly jokes and some fun info.

FYI I opted for the Light Box.

Pear Tatin: This is pretty good stuff- this is my umpteeth delivery and so I've had all the lightbox options at LEAST once. I really like the yoghurt coated seeds in this one!

Summer Berry Compote: One of the best options there is for the light box! This shortbread/jam mix is delicious!!

Bounty Hunter: Hmm, maybe shipping chocolate in July wasn't such a good idea. Graze is a pretty stellar company but I sometimes wonder about this UK started company. Let's be honest, USPS isn't the best shipping in the world, and shipping melty stuff in TX isn't so smart in the summer. I did not eat this one. I've had it before though and it's pretty good. I'm not a big coconut fan but Graze does a great job with coconut.

Fruity Mango Chutney: This strange snack is strangely delicious. The black pepper dippers are specifically awesome and intriguing.

The reason I'm posting about Graze at all, is to 1) show you what a box is like 2) show my faves and 3) give you my overall opinion on a box I had for several months but decided to quit. #1 is done- on to #2.

Apple Cosmos

One of my all-time faves.

Tropical Daiquiri

So not my usual thing, but amazingly good.

Summer Berry Compote

Shown above, super yummy.

Toffee Apple

Best one!

Banoffee Pie

Ok, This is the best one. Fudge pieces and banana slices are amazing!

Hot cross yum

The orange infused raisins and sponge pieces are terrific!

Herby Bread Basket

One of the best un-sweet packs.

Tips & Confessions:

Confession #1: I did not try ALL the Graze stuff, they added new stuff frequently and I was on the light box option which didn't let me try a lot of options.

Tip #1: Anything with lime/orange/cherry/blank infused anything is pretty delicious. Go for those buggers.

Confession #2: I didn't trash things I should have- it felt mean but I should have trashed anything I didn't love- it's not worth it otherwise.

Tip #2: If you aren't enjoying or eating the boxes then put your subscription on pause. Don't waste your money!

Ok, now the question: People love this sub, are dying for invite codes, even you put it as a top sub box when you started your blog, so why cancel it?

I wish I could say money, and while it does save money, whether it is $20/month or $5/month depending on your delivery preferences (or technically $10/month), the reason is, I wasn't eating the snacks! They sat in my pantry and would barely be eaten. Sad but true. I mainly ate the boxes as weird snack meals, but no longer do that and so I don't really want a random snack when I could have a low-cal snack of my own that is super filling and of my exact choosing.

Question answered? I thought I should put a post about Graze and voila, it's done! Any questions, feel free to comment or e-mail. And if I re-subscribe I'll be sure to let you all know.

    1. Sorry should have made it more evident but I don't have any more invite codes- I actually way overshared and they stopped mine. I got one for Easter and used it to start a chain through my e-mail but it's stalled right now.

  3. I'm in Austin and they stopped sending any chocolate items to me for the past couple months - I am assuming it is for the summer. Kinda sad, but hopefully they will start up again in the fall!

I'm still loving the sub (guess it is maybe my second month of weekly shipments?) and they have starting sending me a mix of my likes/loves along with one or two new items that I haven't tried yet.

We'll see if I get sick of it, but I'm pretty lazy/bad about shopping so I like having the healthy/tasty options arrive at my door. I could see myself reducing shipments per month if I get less enamored with it, but at least there it is that option.

I am not afraid to "trash" items! :)

    1. Reducing before it's too late is definitely smart.
