April Julep Review
I think it's only fitting to have my first April box Review post be the April Box I actually got back in March. I LOVE Julep and was bummed to not get it last month (due to funding and the lack of any in my wallet). I was so excited to get my Julep fix this month especially since their Brights Collection this month is A-mah-zing!Check out my current Giveaway!
Side note! My pictures are semi-terrible. Photo-box has no home with our moving wreckage and I didn't realize the terrible lighting etc of these pictures I took after a midnight rehearsal until right now.
Type: Nail Box
Cost: $19.99/month includes shipping
What is it?: Becoming a Julep Maven gives you access to all their products for 20% off as well as being part of their rewards program which earns you FREE boxes and products. To begin, you take a style quiz to determine you Julep Maven Style and your first box will be a welcome box. Each month you are sent the month's theme colors and products in the 4 beauty profiles and have the option to choose your assigned box or any other one available. You also have the option to skip any month- this may be the BEST feature at Julep. Julep also offers add-ons each month for extremely discounted rates as well as random/surprise bags/boxes all the time. Fun fact: Julep's full collection was one of Oprah's favorite things this past year. Use my referral link when you sign up and try your first month for free (plus shipping) using the code FREEBOX or JULEPVIP.
This month's box is HUGE!
Info card- with a DIY Pedi info-score.
Sing it Gurl!
Ah! SO pretty and festive!
So random but you know how much I love details and check out all the brights!
Nail Polish inside!
Ugh- Terrible pic- so sorry!
Rock Candy! This rock candy was watermelon and amazing- delicious. Yes, I ate it within two seconds of unboxing. And I loved every crunchy sugary bite!
Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum: Here is April's big-ticket/new item. This sucker builds collagen and keratin for better cuticles and smoother nails! Their oxygen nail treatment is the bee's knees so I am really excited for this. My nails are a complete mess right now! Price: $28
Bombshell's Ally and Janel: I went Bombshell this month because these colors are fantastic. Right up my alley (haha alley/ally) and beautiful! They will definitely give me a pop! I want the show I'm in to be over (opening Friday) just so I can paint my nails with these beauties! Price: $28
Verdict: Being a Maven pays for itself in polish alone but without yummy sugary treats this box came out to $56 at non-maven prices. These are some of the best colors I've ever gotten and I am sooo ready to put them on and pretend it's Spring! (It's crazy cloudy/foggy here) Try this amazing box yourself for a penny with my referral link (please) and the code JULEPVIP!

I tried using the Julep box service for a few months. I enjoyed the products I got, but realized that it just wasn't for me (I have very limited storage space) I also have switched to water-based nail polish, which they don't offer. I was pleased with their service and would have recommended it to others until I got to the point of trying to cancel my account. They do not allow you to cancel your account on-line, their customer service number was so busy that it sent me to voice mail. I felt like they were throwing up barriers to me canceling my account in a timely manner. If it had been as easy to cancel as it was to sign up I would happily recommend their service to people who enjoy nail polish-- as I found their polish some of the easiest to apply that I have ever used. As it stands, I am not impressed. It should not be more difficult to close a nail polish subscription than it is to close a bank account online.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks about your experience. Boo. I love Julep but I obviously haven't had to deal with canceling.
