Sephora Haul
Alright, this has been a month of way too much shopping therapy. Shopping online is so rough on my purse! Every time that Sephora has a mega deal I seem to have JUST bought something. The same thing almost happened this time around, I needed a few things and a day or two after my purchase it was chic week aka 15% off everything! Boo... Well, by some stroke of luck I didn't press confirm purchase and so what did I do? I added a bunch of stuff I didn't need and spent my entire refund check on Makeup! Thought I'd share my haul!Sometimes I can't believe how much stuff I got and then I see it lined up like this. It's really sooo much!!
My box was gigantic- 4 lbs. Goodness!!
I didn't opt for any of the rewards this time around but I did score some free samples.
Clarisonic Brush Refill X2: This was the reason for my purchase! I needed to replace my brush head since it'd been 3 months. I love my Clarisonic Mia- I have it in purple and it does wonders! I didn't get the attraction when I first got it but when I did my first show after buying it I washed my face my "old" way and then with the clarisonic. Oh my, my non-clarisonic washing left SO much behind. I know it was stage makeup but on a smaller scale that would happen every day!
Clarisonic Gentle Hydro Cleanser: This was reason #2 for my purchase. I can't seem to find a cleanser I love but Clarisonic's brand does the trick. Right after I bought this I tried the soap & glory sample from my last Sephora shipment and the yes to carrots face wash and they were both great! Ah well, next time.
Clinique Take the Day Off: My fav makeup remover. I still have a bit left of my old bottle but I hate to be caught with nothing so it was time to stock up!
Benefit BAD gal Lash: Another "boring" purchase and my that I mean a replacement purchase. During my spring cleaning of old makeup (or makeup that needed to be trashed), I knew it was time for my current bottle of this mascara to go bye-bye! I couldn't let it go since if you read my interview on Trainca.se (here) you know this is a Must-Have in my arsenal. It's my all-time fav mascara. Even though I play with different bottles this is my go-to! My old one has been officially trashed now that I have replenished my stock with this brand new beauty!
Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Brunette: This is my last "refill." Again, it was probably time to replace my old one even though it wasn't empty. Eye stuff, especially liquids, don't last forever contrary to what it may seem! I love this product, it definitely pulls things together! I feel un-polished if I ever forget to put this on!
Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush: This was my original "splurge" item. I have been all about gel pot eye liner recently and although my Sephora Slanted brush is still the #1 brush for me, I thought I needed a brush like this. Turns out I can use all the eye liner brushes in the world in a day!
Benefit Primping with the Stars: This was my crazy splurge purchase. I don't know why, but I wanted it sooo bad!! The #1 reason? Probably since I've always wanted to try Benetint. It's the end all product for a lot of people and I've always wanted to try it for myself. I figured I might as well try a bunch of products if I wanted the benetint!
I've used 2 of these products before: Stay Don't Stray and They're Real. While some people prefer They're Real over my fav, Bad Gal, I obviously disagree. That being said, They're Real is an excellent mascara. It's tops in my book too. It adds TONS of volume! Stay Don't Stray used to be my go-to eyelid primer but after some watery bottles I changed things up and have never gone back. It's a nice product but it tends to "keep" better as a mini bottle!
And the newbies? I've got Pore-fessional, Girl Meets Pearl, Some kind of Gorgeous, plus bentint to try and I'm excited! Can I just say how much I LOVE the packaging! Not only are all the products adorable but the "book" has a mirror and tons of tips and tricks in it!
Benefit Gettin' Cheeky!: Maybe I was just so excited to get Benetint but I decided to splurge on this set. Craziness but a couple of days after I got this in the mail another blogger was commenting on how she wanted it. I knew I wasn't the only one! Let's hope these tints are as easy to apply as people claim!
Benefit Fake Up Concealer: I swear I wasn't on a Benefit kick. It just turned out that way! This was my last minute purchase as I've wanted to try Fake Up and I finally caved. I love Benefit's Erase Paste so I was hoping for great things especially since I can't seem to find a concealer that I love that isn't just for under-eye circles. Turns out this isn't the miracle it claims to be. At least for me, I wasn't in love. People say it's great for under-eye circles but I already have a miracle worker product for that. I'll keep playing with it but I'm wondering if I should have gotten a darker color since sometimes with my light skin having a "matching" concealer doesn't actually work since it comes out too light.
Since I'm airing my dirty laundry- this purchase continued my VIB status through 2014- oh man that sounds so bad! And what did they send me? Mega coupons!! Ugh- I have such a hard time letting things like 20% everything go to waste!!!
Alright, that's it. My massive Sephora haul. Stay tuned since I went crazy last month buying makeup deals!!
What do you use for under eye circles? I haven't been able to find a product I like!
ReplyDeleteBenefit Erase Paste is AMAZING! It covers them up really well- you should put some kind of powder over it though (I use Bare Minerals so my foundation and powder are powdery) to make it set. I use it in Medium even though I have super light skin so I rec getting it a shade darker than you usually would since it seems to work better than way.
