May Love with Food Review

It's Love with Food time! I admit, I peeked at some spoilers of boxes (people who get them first) and wasn't too excited. Well, either I read something wrong or something since I did not get some mega coffee-dominated box like I expected. Alright, check out the goods!

Don't forget to enter my latest Giveaway!

Type: Food Box

What is it?: Get a box filled with gourmet samples each month. Taste the deliciousness and then buy your favorites at their store for large discounts. Use code FBGIFT to get your first box free-ish, just pay the cost of shipping!

Love with Food have the best packers ever. It's perfectly packed in!

The theme this month is "Mother's Day Breakfast in Bed." I got this the day after Mother's Day but whatever. It's still a nice tie-in.

Bonne Maman- Strawberry Preserves: If you like jam, and don't get this brand, you are not using your noggin! Ok- too strong of words, but really, you are missing out! This is our go-to brand for preserves and jam and although we don't do the toast and jam thing much, sometimes I get on a PB&J kick and need this! It's amazing in Baked Brie too- need I say more? This is a baby trial size which I adore. I've been thinking about some way to integrate my tiny food products into a picnic! Price: $0.62

The Cookie Department- Great Full: I was so stoked to see this in this box- did I scroll by this when I read people's box lists? Anyway, I've seen this cookie brand in other healthy boxes before and have only heard RAVE reviews. This one is a vegan sweet potato wellness cookie with brown sugar, cranberries, and oatmeal. The cranberries somehow magically add sweetness with no tartness and the brown sugar is perfect! CJ and I split this massive cookie which gave us 160 cals each. Not too bad and I felt super full from 1/2 of this vegan wonder. I'm sold. Price: $3

Caffe Borsa- Hand Drip Coffee Sumatra Blend: I knew about this coffee product before hand, and remembered it since I don't drink coffee, BUT CJ does so it will be used. He was actually pretty excited to see this. He doesn't use a coffeemaker usually so this is perfect for him. Price: $1.50

Snapz Crisps- Tomato Crunch: Love with Food has introduced me to all kinds of new chips including bean chips and now these tomato crisps. CJ and I have a wall of snacks in our pantry that include re-portioned ziplock baggies of our fav chips which includes pretzel crisps, popchips, and veggie straws! I'm so intrigued by these and I'm hoping that they are a new surprise love! I mean 40 cals and 100% natural- how cool! They also sell apple crisps (which I love), and pineapple, zucchini(!), carrot, and beetroot varieties! Price: $1.99

Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning: We are seasoning fools so I love any kind of cool spice blend and this is definitely a new one for us. Score one for Love with Food! Price: $0.07

Biscotti Bari- Authentic Almond Biscotti: I may be crazy, but I am pretty sure this is the 3rd biscotti I've gotten from Love with Food. I'm not complaining except we tend to devour the biscotti right away which hardly seems fair. We've abstained for one day so far but we both can't wait to try this. Price: $2

Bali's Best- Latte Candy: I don't know why I was so worried about a "coffee-overload," these little candies look good enough that I'll even eat them and they are small and fun. CJ will, of course, enjoy these. Price: $0.11

Mrs. May's Naturals- Coconut Almond Snack: This is a Mystery Item on the info card. Strange, but ok. These look good and have everything going for them. Kosher, Vegan, Gluten Free, Wheat Free, No Preservatives, you get the point. I'm definitely down for eating this! Price: $1.36

Extras: There were some extra discounts included, including a free month at Club W- a wine of the month club!

Verdict: Like most Love with Food boxes, at $10.65 this box pays for itself! I always say it but I love the fun variety of this box AND that they donate to charity each time- makes it sooo worth it! The winner-winner-chicken-dinner of this box is definitely the delicious cookie. I'm considering getting some of the other yummy varieties for those moments I just NEED something sweet. Use code FBGIFT to get your first box free-ish, just pay the cost of shipping! 2. This is one of my favorite subscription boxes, no doubt. The cookie was amazing, and I really enjoyed the Mystery item.

I had one issue with it, which was one of my candies...well, wasn't candy. There was no candy in the wrapper, just air- but I contacted their customer service, and to make up for it they added 300 points to my account! Gotta love how quick they responded and making up for small mess ups!

  3. That's awesome! I love great customer service, plus with 300 pts you are something like 1/5 of the way to buying full-size stuff AND you still had at least one candy to try. Score.
