Monday Musings!
I know, I know, it's a bit late in the day, but it's still time for some Monday Musings!

- I'm expecting a bunch of boxes soon including Ipsy (above) which I am nervously excited about, Birchbox which I did peek at but haven't looked through ALL the boxes yet and no, I did not get the pen that is the talk of all Birchbox subscribers! Love with Food which I am nervous about after seeing spoilers of many a coffee related product, Wantable which I'm clueless about this month, and PopSugar Must Have which I am actually excited about for the first time in months! I may be getting my next RocksBox too- I hope so since I DID return my wonder woman ring and I am bummed...
- I MAY be getting my first Kona Kase this week too and I'm pretty stoked. I've wanted to try it since I saw my first review of it. It's a fitness box that doesn't intimidate me!
- Random, but I'm a total ModCloth lover- I wore a ModCloth dress yesterday in fact! I have tons of their dresses and even an adorable mod swimsuit. Anyway, recently I have been spending time every day on the ModCloth site fawning over dresses but reigning it in since I have weight to lose and what do they do? They send out this e-mail with a $50 free grab bag when you spend $125. Ugh, I could easily buy a few dresses I want and semi-need (I need new clothes at least) but I don't know if I wanna buy them in my old size and hope I lose the weight or not the take ModCloth up on their secret grab bag... You know I'm a sucker for deals!
- Along with my Fitbit I think I'm gonna do more blog link-ups and by more, I mean any! I'm not trying to avoid it, I just never get around to them! Might mean more stuff about yours truly but if you don't wanna read it, no worries, the reviews, hauls, and beauty stuff will be here too!
- What else? This weekend was busy but good. My church job had their annual broadway show this weekend which CJ sang at too. We even had a lovey duet- awwww. It was a bunch of work but it's pretty hilarious and random and well, pretty good money. Anyway, I'm glad it's over though so I can move on to working on my summer stuff... and I have a LOT of work to do!!

Ugh. I looked at my Birchbox this month. I am getting the pen :/ which would not be a big deal if it was like...a pen and a great mascara or something, but it's a pen and only like 4 samples and I don't care for any of them. Birchbox has been letting me down these past few months, we may be done soon.
ReplyDeleteI understand- BB has been kind of bleh for me this year. I still rec it since it's cheap and kind of the "gateway drug" for sub boxes. My box this month is actually pretty good- makeup inside and everything.

1- Get Ipsy if you don't already cause it's awesome.
2- BB just updated their style profile aka more choices! Hopefully this means they will pay more attn to it and get better boxes out to people depending on their tastes. They didn't announce this though so go update your profile now!
3- The pen thing is crazy! Some ppl are sooo happy about it and are buying cases of the pens?!?! And others are like you- it'd be ok since it's an extra but don't make it a feature thing. I'm on your side on this one for sure!
Where do you go to look at all the Birchbox boxes? I'd love to see what came in the plethora of other boxes.

DeleteThat is box 1- see the 1 at the end of the link? Change out the number to see the other boxes.
To get to this link every month go to your Box tab on BB and at the bottom where it says "Box History" click on that month- it will redirect you to this link but with whatever box you have that month.
Hope that all makes sense.
I took the Modcloth deal. I wasn't going to do it, but then I found this dress I've been wanting in the clearance section. And then another one. And some jewelry... You know how it goes. I have no self control when it comes to free stuff!
