PopSugar Must Have March Review

Well- I tried my best to go spoiler free this month with PopSugar Must Have! I really did a pretty good job (I accidentally saw a few pics and before I could avert my eyes I saw some stuff!) and only knew three products for sure. One thing I have to say is that I love the arrival time this month- usually I get it toward the middle/end of the month but this time around shipping was prompt and early on. This was great, especially when it seems like the 3rd week of the month you get all the boxes at once, which is sometimes daunting.

*Side note: PopSugar announced that they will be announcing a "Special Edition" box soon! I don't have any details yet but I'll share them when I do!

**Side note #2: Don't forget to enter my Giveaway which is PopSugar Must Have themed with all products from previous boxes!!

*PopSugar Must Have:
Type: Lifestyle Box
Cost: $35/month includes shipping
What is it?: Each month hand-selected products are delivered featuring must-have beauty, fitness, fashion, food, and home items. Each box delivers full-size and premium items worth over $100. Boxes introduce clientele to new brands as well as old favorites and deliver a variety of products each month. Use my referral code to help get me a free box and use promo code REFERFRIENDS to save $5 on your first box.

This initial look with the standard pink wrapping paper, enjoy sticker, and March booklet. There's not really a theme but does mention meeting Spring in style.

Here'e the first look! The box you get every month in always the same so you never know if the size is deceiving or not. This month included mainly smaller items so there was quite a bit of extra stuffing above and below to fill out the space.

Must Have Fashion:

Heather Belle Signature Tassel Necklace: This was one of the products I did NOT know about before unboxing. This is an item I have definitely seen around lately- large necklace that are extra long- and tassel necklaces are on a bunch of celebs too. I was scared at first to open the box because last time I received jewelry from them it was a bracelet that was half the size of my wrist. I am excited to see a necklace but... I highly doubt I will ever wear it. I would so be willing to jump into this trend (long necklaces are not something I've tried before) but it's gold. I hate to hate on gold but it's just not something in my color palette unless we are talking eyeshadow. I always wear silver jewelry- not gold. I hate clashing jewelry too and I wear a silver ring everyday- always. If it was a gold accent I'd be down but this is all gold all the time. Maybe I'll give it a try. This is a great necklace- no denying that- just maybe not for me. Price: $70-$95

Must Have Home:

The Laundress Specialty Washes- Delicate Wash: I think some people may complain about getting Laundry Detergent in their box but PopSugar likes to throw in functional products too which is always interesting. They sent out three different washes: Denim, Delicate, and Wool & Cashmere. I am sooo glad I got the delicate one! I have like one pair of jeans that I never wear (I live in dresses/tights and yoga pants) and I own I think zero wool and cashmere pieces. Plus, 3/4 of everything I own I wash on the delicate cycle. We were out of detergent too so I guess it was fate. I'll see if I like this when I actually use it! Price: $19

Must Have Home:

Corkatoo Corkscrew: I have to admit I wasn't thrilled with this since we have a nicely stocked bar area with plenty of tools but then I got off my high-horse and realized this was cute and could be fun to have in a go-away bag for trips or picnics (love me a picnic) or would be a super cute re-gift! How adorable would it be to not just bring a bottle of wine to someone but put this little bugger in it too. Anyway, I think it's a cute extra. Price: $13.99

Must Have Beauty:

Buxom Sculpted Lash Mascara: This was one of the three products I already knew about and am a little hesitant about. I LOVE Buxom- I really do- they have amazing lip glosses- they have the kind that make your lips a bit bigger and everything. Beautiful colors too- I like Dolly and Katie. Anyway, I had never tried the mascara before and I gotta say that intense S-curve wand is a bit intimidating- and specially shaped wands don't have the best record of actually doing what they claim. I love Buxom though so I have some big expectations even though it doesn't have great reviews online. Price: $19

Must Have Fashion:

Hollywood Fashion Secrets' Sweater Saver: This was 2nd product I had already peeked at. Hollywood Fashion Secrets have great products that have totally helped me out in a jam- I have usually picked up their products when I see them around including this Sweater Saver. That's right I already own this- or owned it- it may be trash now. This pumice stone for sweaters sounded genius for me but all it ever did was rub off bits of the black stone on to my clothes. Poo. I might try it again on tights. Price: $5.99

Must Have Beauty:

The New Black Nail Polish Duo: Pardon My French: This was a super cute addition into the box with these mini nail polish duos. It's a brand I don't know and I love the tiny bottles. It says in the booklet that colors may vary so I looked up the other duos and boy, people got some amazing colors! I saw blue-grey with green and my fave was a royal blue with a white/cream color. They looked amazing. I so wish I hadn't looked around since it makes me wish I had those colors but I will definitely try these out. Price: $10

Special Extras:

Marshmallow Peeps: (The third item I already knew about) We all know 'em, and about half like 'em. I am not a peeps fan (except for the art people make with them) but I still like that they included them- very Spring-y. I already passed them onto my boy. Last year he made us buy Peeps and I think he stomached about half of them so I will assume the same thing will happen with this box. Price: $0.99

Hollywood Fashion Secrets' Fashion Tape Assortment Sample Pack: This is so much more exciting to me than the Sweater Saver- their tapes totally work- it is so nice when you have something awkward to wear to know you are being held together. Price: $1

Here is the standard booklet along with some coupons- one to Hollywood Fashion Secrets- another to Sephora for a free Buxom gloss (in Dolly).

The Haul

Verdict: Altogether the box cost $139.97 and that's with calling the necklace $70 when some people valued it $25 higher. I think the idea of this box a lot- I prefer a bunch of little items than one big item that some people may or may not like. I'm still a bit unsure about this box though just because nothing screamed out at me. There was no "wow" moment in this box- I think it could have been the necklace but I am seriously bummed it is gold. I think the best suited product for me in this box is the laundry detergent which is not really what I wanted to get out of this box. I am still overall happy with this box though since I liked it all and will give it all a try (except maybe the necklace). I hope next month I get that wow moment that everyone should get with this box!
