March Loot Crate Review

Yeah! Loot Crate came this past weekend! This is my bf's only box that is just for him (not that I don't appreciate the products/try them/use them/etc). I wish I could spoil him with more boxes but it would be hard to beat this great box that fits him to a T!

Side note: Check out my current Giveaway!!

*LootCrate:
Type: Gamer Box
Cost: $13.37/month + $6 shipping
What is it?: Each month you receive 6-8 hand-picked products as well as having the option to win a $250 mega crate. This box is curated around a "geeky theme" helping you stay up all night playing video/computer games and show your gaming love to the world. This is my bf's box but we will be joint-reviewing it on the site. Use our referral link and save $3 using code 3OFF at checkout.

I'm a little sad the tracking covered the box so I took a close-up.

Unboxing! The info card blocked the goods.

This month's theme is COSMOS! Think Star Wars, Star Trek, Dead Space, etc. This box is all space-related.

Funko & Lucasfilm's Star Wars Pop! Vinyl Bobble Head: This was the first item out of the box and I though it was super cute. He looks like a baby C-3PO, which my bf clarified there wouldn't be a baby C-3PO, since that would be a bunch of parts. Killjoy. Anyway, 4 different varieties were sent out: Darth Vader, Yoda, C-3PO, and Boba Fett. I think CJ would have been happy with any or all of them, but it was especially great to see C-3PO for us. As a stocking stuffer I got CJ a Christmas themed C-3PO bobble head so now we have 2! I think they should duel. Price: $9.99

Chronicle Books' The Art of Star Wars Comics: Collectible Postcards: CJ really like seeing these. He loves comics (me too!) and Star Wars so it was a cool thing to see. His fav part was that there was one vintage one and one from the newer comics. There were 100 variants so everyone got different kinds. CJ really liked these and I am guessing they will go on his board next to his desk. *Update: while writing this, CJ said these are actually his favorite products in the box AND he plans to send out at least one of them as a postcard. Price: $1.50

First Innovation's Hexbug Nano Micro Robot: I had no idea what this was but CJ was immediately excited. He said these were really big doing the Christmas season as gifts. They are the closest thing to alien bugs - zipping around randomly- they can even back up when they run into walls. They are actually pretty cool to watch. Amazingly, in this themed box almost everything had variants- people got different colors of this too! Price: $5.99

A little Nano Micro Robot action.

Loot Crate Labs' Secret Code Wristband: Another Loot Crate original! Last month's box had a koozie that was awesomely geeky and so is this one. My bf immediately rattled out this code and was excited to see the Konami code. It's a popular game code first seen in the 80s in a game called Gradius (thus the space connection). CJ even wore this out which I have never seen him do with a wristband. He loves showing his geekiness! Price: $1

Loot Crate Labs' Live Long and Prosper Button: I was waiting for a Star Trek reference and here it was. CJ is a Star Trek fan too- he loves all things geeky- I have to admit I have avoided all things Star Trek but I support my geeky boy! CJ has a bag for work when he goes on sites and said this button will be proudly displayed on that. Price: ~$0.50

Walls360 & EA's Dead Space 3 Wall Graphic: CJ knew what this was right away which is always a good sign. I checked out the other graphics that were sent out too and I think this one is the best (for us at least). CJ commented on how nice the actual graphic is too, as in the quality of the product. Price: $12

Verdict: I asked CJ what he thought of this box: "Love it!" This box was another winner for us, I think this theme was super appealing for CJ. As the one who isn't the actual recipient of this box, I enjoy the stuff too as well as loving CJ's happiness to getting the box. This box is worth around $30.98 (I estimated the Loot Crate Lab items) and we only spent $19.37. I'd definitely say that is a deal. This box is more about getting awesome things than saving money but it's great that you get that too. How much does CJ love this? His 3-month sub ends with this box but we are re-subbing! If you want to help us out PLEASE use our referral link when you sign up yourself! And if anything in these boxes interests you (check out my old reviews here and here) than I highly recommend trying this box yourself. It's obviously awesome.

  1. We received the Darth Vader bobble head. Almost everything in this loot crate went straight to my husband's office at work, lol.

    1. Isn't it so fun to see them enjoy a sub box? I would have loved to get the Yoda one if we didn't get the C-3PO.
