Review Roundup

So the great thing about blogging is that you are become dedicated to trying to the products you purchase/receive. I mean, how can you give your honest opinion when you haven't really tried the product?!?!

I've been doing really well the past few week putting my all into trying new products so here are my thoughts:

DERMAdoctor KP duty: $36 for 4 oz.

This stuff is supposed to get rid of the bumpy little red spot on your skin called keratosis pilaris or known better as "chicken skin" or any other dry skin problems. I bought this from Sephora fyi and posted in my Beauty Haul. You are supposed to put it on twice a day and you should see results within a few weeks...

And? OMG this stuff works!!! It's been almost three weeks and I have used it close to twice a day every day (sometimes only once) and my arms aren't really bumpy any more! Redness has decreased and the bumps are practically gone! Now, I know chicken bumps aren't really a bad problem, the only person who ever really notices is you (as in the person who has it) and it doesn't hurt or anything but I don't care I am so happy to see a result!! No, my arms aren't magically unflawed now but I am even considering getting the KP Body Scrub since the recommend doing both to see the most results. Also the 4 oz is a lot- it should last for a few more months so I think it is worth the money. Grade: B+

Caudalie Vinexpert Radiance Day Cream SPF 15. Remember the tiny tiny sample I got in my Birchbox in January and posted in my Roundup?:

Well, I found another sample (older) of the same things I had gotten from Sephora (you can get the full bottle for $79 here) and was able to squeeze about 2 weeks out of the two samples...

And? Uhh why would anyone spend near $80 on this stuff? NOOO results. If anything I broke out a bit (due  to other factors too like terrible food but whatev). I saw zero difference in skin tone OR dark spot and the thick yellow cream didn't spread super well meaning you need quite a lot. Boo. I might shell out for the Kiehl's dark spot corrector someday- it is supposed to be amazing. Grade: D

Ok, one more review today from my Haul post:

Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry: The 100 point sample is 0.5 oz compared to the 2 oz size at $14 or 5 oz for $29 you can get at Sephora. This heat-activated styling balm helps create straight hair while blow-drying...

I love Bb but again, a disappointment. This made my hair greasy even when I used a tiny amount. I would suggest this for people to try with curly hair- not wavy like mine. Sad day- still love Bumble and Bumble though! Grade: C

  1. Thanks for the info on the KP Duty, I always wondered if it was worth the price and sounds like it is. I may have to give it ago due to your recommendation.
