My Cotton Bunny February Unboxing + Review

I know there has been sooo much T.O.M. box stuff recently but I received my 4th and final T.O.M. box this weekend and guess what?! It is excellent!

Type: T.O.M. Box
Cost: $13.75/month shipping included
What is it?: This box (which is super cute showing off their adorable logo) contains an entire box of tampons inside as well as a yummy treat and a gift. You can choose from over 6 brands of tampons and you can also choose which size absorbency. You also have the choice of a box of pads (pantyliners can be provided as well). Their FB page also says they are launching a tween box soon for girls just getting their period- what a great idea!- I wish I had had that sent to me when I was a tween! This box has rapidly grown in value since its start only a few months ago and offers a wide array of products as each month has a theme or idea although comfort is the main idea behind every gift. Each month, you can login and change which tampon/pad/absorbency you want so that you are still getting an array of types. This semi-brand new company is constantly growing and changing so expect new website changes, a referral program, and more customization coming soon.

Ok so this pic is ridiculous but I thought it was so funny to have a giant puncture underneath "Wrapped with care..." Obviously, this was the USPS' fault and not My Cotton Bunny- still funny.

I know that is a lot of actual box photos- I just had to get all the little designs up to show. My Cotton Bunny is so proud of their product and they state on their site and such that they don't want a box to hide your period but be proud which is why they decorate the box. No- it doesn't scream time of the month- it's just cute.

Ta-da! The actual unboxed box! Look at how full it is! For realsies this was packed. I was so excited. Now check out the letter- To Laura- in pen. Always love a personal touch.

This is a really cute touch. It just thanks you for checking out their box and opens themselves up for feedback as well as introducing what you are getting, the Tealight Bundle.

The info cards. Yes cards plural. The top one is just an explanation of what the box is: a service for women's T.O.M. The top half of the card is addressed to Ladies and the bottom to Gents. I kind of love that they are saying Men could buy this service for the lady in their life- I definitely wouldn't mind that!
The bottom card is a standard info card for what is in the box as well as some info on how to review the box (to get something special next month) and how to get social with My Cotton Bunny.

Check out my haul! So purdy!

First up, the protection item. Each month you choose what brand or item you want. I chose tampons in my brand. You can also change the absorbency so you can stock up. Anyway, you get a mini box which is perfect. I want to repeat: you get a BOX. As in, packaged up and untouched. Nice. Price: ~$5

The "treats" part of the package. I love love love that they did a V-day thing with conversation hearts! Too cute. And I appreciate that it isn't the standard of a bite of chocolate- always like a change-up with subscription boxes. They also included Chocolate Mint Truffle Tea from Mighty Leaf Tea. I guess I spoke too soon- there is "chocolate" in the form of tea. Clever, clever, my cotton bunny. Haven't tried the tea yet but duh, I ate the hearts right away. Price: $1

2 of my 3 "Gifts" in my box. A floating tea candle- I like the pink and we are candle people so this will get used up very quickly. And then "fragrance crystals" from Hawaiian Fragrance Crystals. You can use these in a bath (I did assume they were bath salts straight away) or leave around the house as a scented decoration. I think this smells excellent but be warned it is potent. I should just say that is actually works instead of potent! My bf and I were watching TV on the couch and he kept sniff sniff sniffing and asking "Do you smell something floral?" Finally realized oh yea duh the box was still open from my unboxing. He liked the scent and all but I guess I should've warned him ??? Anyway, I love these two cute extras. I expected one gift and got three instead. I couldn't find a price for the crystals so I am low-balling. Price: $2

Adorable headband!

Close-up of flower detail.
I am in love with this adorable crocheted headband. I am also really happy to get it in grey! They offered this in White, Yellow, Green, Gray, Blue, Pink or Black and posted on FB and Twitter for subscribers to tell them what color they wanted- how cool is that!? I didn't respond since I didn't know which bundle I would be getting and I swear whenever I pick something I end up liking the other one (color in this case) so I decided to leave it up to the fates. I didn't get it in the picture but this band has a button so it can be laid out flat although you should put it on pre-buttoned. For ANYONE who has problems with headbands squeezing your head, get a crocheted one. I have that problem a lot and as a migraine/headache sufferer I tend it avoid things that hurt my head. And for those wondering if that makes this band loose- no, it never slipped off my head, it is perfect. This headband was brilliant and so cute. Perfect for those days when you don't want to spend time doing your hair (hmm like maybe during your T.O.M.) or just to look super cute and cozy. Price was determined by similar etsy headbands. Price: $18

Verdict: This box costs $13.75 and the box value was about $26!! Even though I ball-parked some things (like the tampons range in price depending on where you buy so I took an average price), the headband alone pays for the box. I felt super spoiled from this box and I got a little bit of everything: protection, sweets, treats, fun details, and a beautiful gift. I love that the protection is packaged up and I am ultra impressed by this company and where it is going based on this fantastic box. Right now, MCB doesn't skip months (you just cancel and then re-sub) and I can't afford them next month but I plan on subbing again as soon as I can. Honestly, because I tried all the boxes this month I am stocked up so I will wait until I need them again and I will sign up. Also, just an add-on, the customer service with this company is fabulous.

Anyone else gonna sign up now?? You should!

Extras: I just had to throw this headband on right after opening it up so here it is on three different ways

Probably should have taken off the clashing grey cardigan
My puppy thought I was crazy:
