A lot of people don't know or understand TheFancy subscription box. It is a bit confusing so I thought as a preview to my Feb box which I should receive very soon, I'd show off my Jan box.*TheFancy:
Type: Lifestyle Box
Cost: $30+$2.95/month for regular box
What is it?: For those who don't know, TheFancy is like pinterest but for products especially cool and amazing items. When you sign up you choose 3 categories from Men's, Women's, Kids, Pets, Home, Gadgets, Media, Sports & Outdoors, and Workspace. You then receive an array of some of the cool items that are on the site. I subscribe to Home, Gadgets, and Workspace. The worth is well beyond the $30 it costs and you receive amazing products! Use my referral code and I'll update with any deals and coupon codes! TheFancy also pairs with celebrities to make boxes- Ashton Kutcher's was $45 and currently P!nk has her own box for $35. There is also a food box for $39 right now (Feb 2013). Check it out.
So, it is, as I said, a bit confusing. It depends on what is going on on the site as to what box you subscribe to. I subscribed before any of the celeb curated boxes so I have the regular box. Again, of the categories to choose from I picked Home, Gadgets, and Workspace. I really liked the array of stuff I got in Jan so for my upcoming Feb box I stayed with the same 3 categories.
First up: Verse Headphones from Urban Beatz
Umm, how awesome are these?? These are the only non-bud headphones I have ever liked!!! I use these headphones all the time now. They provide high integrity sound and with pressure-free fitting they are super comfortable. The best part is the fabric cable- no tangles!! There is also a mic with a control button- I probably will never use it but who knows? The button can also play/pause, rewind, end calls, etc.
Price: $40 (yes, $40!)
#2: Coldfish koi fish ice cube tray
Here is the top and bottom of this koi fish shaped ice cube tray. We already have shaped ice trays so we weren't strangers to this (we have an Han Solo one and Millennium Falcon one- my bf likes Star Wars obviously). Haven't actually used this yet but we will, oh we will. I think I have avoided using this because I want to start filling these shaped trays correctly: by correctly I mean using boiled water. Boiled water really shows the shapes in the ice cubes off. Price: $9.99
#3: infoThink USB Flash Drive
This tiny tiny USB Flash Drive looks just like a portable hard drive. Perfect for the computer lover! My bf loved this thing. It'll become his even though I could use a new flash drive. This product also holds a whopping 8 GB- much more than most mini flash drives. This thing is small, cute, nerdy, and glows blue when plugged in:

#4: All Purpose Congratulations Greeting Card
How awesome is this All-purpose card? I know there is a glare on the photo (didn't want to take the card out of the plastic) but I hope you can see some of the options. Congrats on your daring kitten rescue. Congrats on your math skills and dance moves. Love it. My only problem with this card is answering: who do I give this to and for what occasion? Too many options! Price: $7.50
#5: Glove.ly Touchscreen Gloves
Yes, touchscreen gloves. I was so upset when I saw these when I opened this box. Why? Because I could've used them sooo much only a few weeks prior. I spent quite a lot of time (3 trips total) in November and December is cold cold NYC. Going from audition to audition I spent a lot of time on my HopStop app on my phone and in my head about a million times I cursed having to take my gloves off to use my phone. I even looked up some gloves for touchscreens online. So how about these?? They work amazingly! If you haven't tried touchscreen gloves, do it! They are so cool- I was in awe that they actually worked! Extra feature: the logo (the little yellow circles) on the gloves are magnets to keep your gloves together when they are off. Price: $25
#6: Book: All my friend are dead.
My FAVORITE part of my box. This book is hilarious. I know that sounds weird but this little satirical thing is actually super cute. I mean a book about everyone being dead in the style of a children's book- what the?? But really it is so funny. I had heard of it before but would have never thought to check it out or buy it on my own. It's small but is still stellar coffee table book material. Take a peek inside.
A lot of it is from a tree's perspective etc. It's all over the place. And you can judge if you want but it is awesome. Price: $9.99
Verdict: This box's value was $114.48 for about $35. Hmm so was what it worth it? Uh yea- I loved this box. I love random things- I always gravitate to little gift shelves in stores and all this stuff was amazing. I don't know if I would have picked out the products for myself but they turned out to be perfect. I super love the variety of this box and am so excited for my next one. I can't afford this box after Feb so my bf said he will pay for it! Considering it is for both of us and he loves it all too it is understandable that he would chip in for me! I will probably change up the categories at some point but right now, why mess with a good thing? Who else now loves TheFancy??

ReplyDeleteYou would love it! It is sooo good! I wish I could subscribe to all their boxes and the categories too. I personally love Lifestyle boxes a la PopSugar Must Have because they give you real products and TheFancy takes the cake for me!
DeleteI just saw an unboxing for Feb and they got this bookend I had found YEARS ago and have always wanted and poof it's in their box- I am dying to get mine now this month.
Just a heads up, I think they changed their prices on The Fancy. It's telling me it's 39 for the regular box plus almost 8 dollars for shipping o_0 buuuttt I'm using the coupon you posted so it's okay :) Thanks, Laura, this is fun!
ReplyDeleteYa- it's a little difficult to price. My box is actually only $30 + shipping but whenever they had new boxes like the P!nk one etc the price changes all around. Like now the food one is $39 so it is all $39. The shipping is poopy- but it's my fav box so I'll suffer through : )
