July Favorites + Giveaway
Now for something different!
I thought I'd start posting some monthly favs- mainly some new discoveries via boxes or life in general... plus a giveaway- hopefully this will become a monthly feature!
1. Yes, I love Julep- Specifically this color Rose! I have been able to paint my nails again this month since I'm not in shows now and I discovered this wonderful color! One of my all-time favs.
2. RocksBox! This box has somehow become one of my favs! Every month when I see the charge I think... maybe I'll cancel... and then I LOVE my stuff! It's included in the list this month since I just opted for a full year! Yep, I did it- see you for the next year! Btw I think the code FBrocks still works for a free month of RocksBox. And yes, I did ask for my double-sided pendant to be sent back- I'm buying it!
3. Cha Cha Tint. In a Sephora Haul (post here) a few months ago I got a set of Benefit tints (and the ever popular Benetint in another set) including Cha Cha Tint. And it's glorious! It is perfect for me and I can't stress it's awesomeness enough. One of my go-to blushes now and I have a million blushes so that means a lot!
4. The Honest Company Bubble Bath. Obviously I like The Honest Company- I mean, I just did a giveaway of their stuff! Anyway, I got this in my last shipment and it's wonderous! It smells great and I am loving bath time! Highly recommend this if you sign up!
5. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. To be honest, I wanted to include more books and movies and shows on here but I just picked one! I've read something like 10 books in the past 2 months and this was a stand-out. I had heard good things but don't read that much "best-seller" stuff. Great story and PERFECT for when I was out of town and in need of a good book. I read The 19th Wife after that and it was a pretty fascinating read too (fiction) involving a cult and shenanigans. Good airplane read!
6. Urban Decay's Eye Pencil in Perversion. I got a double-sided Eye Liner in my April Pretty Power Box and it took me until July to use it! Don't think that's weird though- it happens a lot with makeup samples. Turns out, it's awesome! I just ordered a full-size one (the one I got from PPB was double-sided with a brown liner) and I love it. I still prefer gel liner since it doesn't smudge as much but this is a pretty awesome liner. I'm wearing it right now!
7. Nicka K New York- Absolute! Perfume Stick Dream 42. I got this in my May GLOSSYBOX which came to my place in TX while I was in NY. Soo I didn't try in until I got home in July and I LOVE it! It smells fantastic and is so easy to use! Love.
Okie dokie- what's the giveaway? I know you want to know. I love all these things and I want a reader to enjoy them too! I can't afford to outfit someone completely but I can gift one of my fav favorites!

Hi Laura! You post frequently about having a large collection of blush, and I too have started to develop quite the collection from sub boxes, so I was wondering how you decide which one to use? Do you have a few in play, and if so, how do you decide which one of those to use each day, or do you choose one to open and then use that one until it's out? I would love your input on how to be a more efficient sub box blush user :) Excited about this giveaway! I've used both Benetint and Posie Tint in the past, so it'd be fun to try this one!
ReplyDeleteI never run out of my blush- ever! I think I just counted 21 blushes in my vanity! I just re-organized (I'm hoping to post that this week) my vanity to make things easier to find and that helps a lot. I put my favs up front while keeping them all easy to see (aka not stacked up) so I see the color of each! I usually give new colors a try right away and see if I like them- I'd say I have about 3 blushes I should chuck. My favs are ones I've bought myself but that doesn't mean I don't like my sub box ones! I usually pick dependent on my outfit (go more red/coral/pink) or if I just want to look my best I pick the best colors for my skintone. My all-time fav is Bobbi Brown's Pale Pink. It's perfect for pale skin- it's not pale at all!

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed both Birchbox and Ipsy this month. This is surprising for Birchbox because they were really disappointing me the last few months.

ReplyDeleteI love my Birchbox in general this month! I have used and loved almost every item in the box! As a specific item- I am going to have to go with my JuiceBeatuy stem cellular repair CC Cream. It gives me such a warm glow while controlling my color!

ReplyDeleteI got my first Alex & Ani bangle so that's top on my favs this month. And le métier de Beaute Precision Liquid Liner. I just bought one 2 weeks ago & wear it literally every day. At first I was a little bummed to find out it is going to be in my first beauty vault VIP box from LMdB because I just bought it.. But now I'm super excited, it's just that amazing!!

ReplyDeleteI loved my first Julep box: Classic with a Twist. I also tried the Cha Cha Tint for the very first time this month and I absolutely adored it. Even better than the original. Benefit is one of my favorite brands.
ReplyDeleteI got my first Birchbox in July and I loved it so much that I got BOTH limited edition boxes. They have been the most fun surprise to get in the mail. I also got my first Julep box. Nail polishes are always fun!

ReplyDeleteThe Cha-Cha is actually the only Benetint I don't have! The swatches look great - maybe a coral shade I can finally pull off :-)
My favorite things this month are all over the place - healthy snack boxes, L'Occitane Almond line up, the Glamglow mask, Big Brother, Masterchef, blogging etc.
