First real look!
Dara Ring in Purple: Obviously, this is the first thing that caught my eye. SOOO different! This mondo ring is purple but looks a bit blue in the pics especially since I'm wearing that nail polish I got from GLOSSYBOX which is blue. Anyway, Dara Ettinger uses natural, raw, semi-precious, and precious stones, and metals to make her one-of-a-kind creations... again, you can tell right off that this is a rock! I love that I put it on my ring finger right away- I want someone to go, "wow, what a rock," and I shall laugh- mwhaha. Really though, this is a statement piece! I need to find a way to really work this. It requires full out outfit debauchery and craziness OR subtle polish/clothes etc to draw focus to the ring. I really like it but don't know if it's love yet since it's so craziness! Price: $110 (Member's Price: $88)
Gorjana- Westerly Stud Earrings in Silver: Another gorgeous Gorjana piece! These little beauts aren't big statements but they are delicately pretty which I do love! I can rock a statement piece but I love day-to-day jewelry too. I just got this RocksBox but I've already worn these out (the pic I took was terrible to I'll post "wearing" pics later) and have decided to keep these for good. Price: $35 (Member's Price: $28)
Robyn Rhodes- Raylene Necklace in Black Jade & Silver: It's a bit hard to see at first but this necklace has great details. I love that it's not just some print but three stones together. I have to say, those necklace holders do what they can but I still had to untangle this when I first got it, I HATE chains sometimes- thankful for my new vanity expansion/jewelry tree. Anyway, I really like this necklace, it's different but still simple. My only complaint is that the chain is a little small- I'd like it if it hung a bit lower but I tried it on with a dress it wouldn't have worked with anyway so I need a better neckline for it. We'll see if I fall in love with it once I find the proper outfit. Price: $76 (Member's Price: $60.80)
Verdict: So far from RocksBox I've purchased three items they've sent me (Wonder Woman Ring, Geometry Earrings, Double-sided Pendant) which means I've kept something each shipment AND this month will be no different. I'm at LEAST keeping the earrings and we will see after I wear the other two. I've really grown to love RocksBox and recently upgraded my subscription to a full year! It seemed like an expense at first to "rent" jewelry but I keep getting amazing pieces and I am actually wearing my jewelry again for the first time in forever! I'm excited to complete my looks and I get complimented on my accessories every time I go out! I couldn't afford to wear a $110 ring like this any other way so I'm stoked. I am trying $221 worth of jewelry this month alone!
