August Julep Review

Can I just start by saying how adorable Julep was this month? The packaging and overall effect- adorable. This was a hard month for me to pick from since I loved the whole collection and honestly changed my choice so many times that I forgot what I ended up with in the end! Turns out I made an awesome choice for myself and while it's Julep's anniversary, it feels like my celebration!

Look at how cute their box was this month!

Forget-Me-Not Seeds: Julep always sends out amazing extras and I never know what to expect! Maybe I should look closer at the themes since these seeds go perfect with the Garden Party collection! We actually made ourselves a little garden on our enclosed porch. Really! We made a section and put grass on it so Henry has a place to go when we don't have time to go out AND a bunch of troughs for plants and flowers- it's pretty sweet. It's too hot to plant new things now but we'll sprinkle them out there at some point.
Price: ~$1

Double Step- Foot Treatment & Friction Stick: "This no-mess shea butter treatment nourishes and moisturizes feet, stimulates circulation, and prevents blisters." I admit, this beauty item wasn't exciting to me during selection time, I loved the collection this month and wished I could've upgraded but it wasn't because of the beauty extras- it was for the polish. I thought about going It Girl for the all-polish box but then wondered, what if this works? What if I didn't need to break in new shoes painfully? Usually, I can figure that out on my own, wearing them just long enough each day, but sometimes you get those flippin' blisters! And new high heels- ugh! I'll try this out- it could be my new favorite thing! Price: $22

The polishes!

Sylvia: The above dual pic shows this beautiful lilac cream in the best light so excuse this standing pic from not showing it in all it's marvelous wonder! It's gorgeous and the reason I picked Classic with a Twist. Purple is my fav color so I'm partial but this is sooo good. It'll make a wonderful spring color or fall or winter or anytime! It's so pretty! Price: $14

Veronica: As I said before, I wanted this box for Sylvia, but Veronica's got game! Again, this pic isn't great but turns out, in person, this mauve color is gorgeous. I think this polish might actually be used first! Oh, Julep, you clever thing, always sending me such awesome colors! Price: $14

Verdict: All totaled this month's Julep box ended up being valued at $51. Not too shabby for a $20 box! I'm really happy with my choice this month but I think all the boxes would have sufficed! We'll see how the Doublestep works, but who really cares when I got two amazing new polishes! As always, love me some Julep!
