May Loot Crate Review

Alright, it's finally time to post my Loot Crate review for May. We are big fans of Loot Crate and while CJ ALWAYS loves the nerdy goodness he gets, I think some months are better than others. I was hoping for a good eclectic box and that's what we got this month. Score! Check it out!

Make sure to enter my latest Giveaway!

Loot Crate:
Type: Gamer Box
Cost: $13.37/month + $6 shipping
What is it?: Each month you receive 6-8 hand-picked products as well as having the option to win a $250 mega crate. This box is curated around a "geeky theme" helping you stay up all night playing video/computer games and show your gaming love to the world. This is my bf's box but we will be joint-reviewing it on the site. Use our referral link pretty please and use code EQUIP to save 10%.

I love Loot Crate's box but it always looks crazy in pics.

First look.

Info card- this month's theme is EQUIP.

Pure Nintendo- 1 Year Digital Subscription: This subscription to Pure Nintendo Magazine - a digital magazine is soo right for CJ. He reads the gamer mags and he also loves reading digital mags like Wired. Price: $10

Black Tie Geek- 8 Bit Bow Tie: This is self-explanatory. An 8 bit bow tie. CJ definitely does wear bow ties if he has the opportunity to do so. I saw a pic of it on a pup and I think it'd be adorable clipped to his harness/collar, but I think CJ already claimed it. But c'mon, adorable. Price: $4

GraphicLab- Towel: This ode to "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," also celebrated National Towel Day back on May 25th... Who knew? The towel actually would be a great gym towel and I'm a big fan of the books (as is CJ) so hopefully he'll show it off. Price: $5

Boston America- Super Mario Coin Candies: I was totally expecting this sort of thing in last month's "Token" crate but I'll settle for waiting a month. I love seeing Mario stuff and this has already been put in a place on CJ's desk. Oh, and the candies are yummy! Price: $7.95

The Dojo- Ninja Rabbit Cord Wrap: This little bugger it pretty cute, especially when he is "equipped" (see what I did there) with his cord. His ninja-ness doesn't really stand well on his own but he would make a cool ear phone wrap. As you can see, he can bungee down too which is pretty awesome. Price: $5.99

Gus Santome of minipapercraft.blogspot.com- Papercraft Ironman: This suit from Iron Man 3 is a papercraft which CJ can totally do but I would miserably fail at. We just saw Iron Man 3 before I left (it was good!) and so maybe when I come home this little man will greet me. You can download all kinds of stuff from this blog but I'm pricing it at a dollar since this was printed for free and on high grade stuff. Price: $1

Fred & Friends- Inanimate Stickers: This is super random, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The more I look at, the more there is going on and I could see using these at some point. I'll probably leave that up to CJ though. Price: $1.99

DC Comics- Green Lantern Action Figure: Anyone else find it weird that this wasn't on the info card? Anyway, my second thought was why in the 2 Series available are 4/10 of them Batman? Not even 2 Superman? I shouldn't say that, since Batman totally trumps Superman is awesomeness. I didn't ask CJ much about this but I know he's not a big Green Lantern fan (his fav is Deadpool) but it doesn't matter much. He likes getting this stuff and displaying his geekness proudly. His collection is getting pretty good now because of Loot Crate- yes, he does put all the stuff he gets in his office. Price: $5.99

Verdict: Well, there ya go. Another fun Loot Crate! Altogether this box was valued just under $32, and it costs just under $20. Good deal! Some were approximations too so buying some things new (and probably shipped) might up some prices. CJ ALWAYS loves his Loot Crate and I love getting a box that isn't for me! I really liked the mix of stuff this month and we can't wait for the next one! Use my link to get signed up yourself and use code EQUIP to save 10%!
