FabFitFun Second Spoiler!
FabFitFun released a second spoiler and now I am SOO exctied about this next box. If you missed it I posted about the first sneak peek before but it is this gorgeous Gorjana canary scarf that is worth $57!!
Yes, FYI, I am receiving this box and it was the scarf that made me want it so badly!

September Wantable Makeup Review
I'm a Wantable kick right now! Getting my Wantable reviews up AND deciding on whether or not to take the plunge with the Wantable Halloween Box (see post here) which is still available to buy! Anyway, time to review Wantable's first box- their makeup box! Some great items this month!

Zee box!
Info card (with my personal quiz preferences listed on top)
First look!
Btw Wantable uses foam now for packaging- it keep everything from getting smushed and cracked- nice!
My products (sans extra product) in pretty packaging!
Japonesque- Angled Foundation Brush: This is a really great brush. I (suprisingly) don't have anything like it in my collection and it will be great for building coverage. It's travel-sized which is a meh feature to me since I'm gonna bring my brushes traveling no mater what but it's a nice touch for women who want travel brushes. Price: $25
My desk was so dusty from unboxing packages when I took this pic! |
Cailyn Cosmetics- Gel Eyeliner in Fall Night: This is my only letdown product from this month's Wantable box. It's happened before and it's my fault... Let me explain: I don't wear brown eyeliner but the quiz only asks if you like neutral colors... I like black... I contacted Wantable and they said they don't have the option yet for brown or black liner on the quiz but if I don't want brown eyeliner I can e-mail them when I get alert that they are curating my box... I forgot. It's hard to remember all the box stuff I do each month and thus, I got brown liner. Even though I love eyeliner I think I'll "dislike" it so this doesn't happen anymore. Cailyn is a great eyeliner brand so I'll gift this to someone! Price: $21
WhipHand- Lip Hit Long Wear Lip Veneer Entice: I've never heard of this brand before but it's so cool. Most lip products like this have a bristled end but this had a flexible applicator, like a mini spatula- it's genius. I like this color- not too dark or too neutral. This makes me super interested in this brand!
Price: $20
Beauty for Real- Miracle Mascara in Very Black: A new amazing mascara! YEAH!! I'm sorry the pic is dusty (unboxing creates a fine layer of dust on my desk) but this is a great mascara! It goes on well and creates volume! Yes!! Best part? It has a mirror on the side! I had a fiber mascara that I kept in my purse with a mirror on it and it was a lifesaver- the mascara has gone bad so I thought I'd replace it with this one... but it's such a great mascara I want to use it daily! Super win on Wantable's part. I wanted a great new mascara and they delivered! Price: $23
Lise Watier- Ombre Souffle Supreme Sample: Wantable always throws in extras in their makeup boxes and they are usually pretty great. This one was 6 eyeshadow samples. Umm- win! I love the colors too so it's perfect for me.
Verdict: So, I love the mascara and the lip gloss is great which already pays for the box PLUS the brush is a fantastic add for me. The eyeliner was a bummer but again, my fault. The eyeshadows were a great bonus too! This wasn't my favorite Wantable makeup box but I think some quiz changed will fix that right up. My favorite all-time lipgloss came from a Wantable box (my cargo amazingness) and so I'm hoping this beaute with follow in the same footsteps. Altogether I received $89 in merchandise and that doesn't include my sample eyeshadows. Love it!
Check out Wantable yourself- all kinds of awesomeness available including their great (and original) makeup box!

Info Sheet
Ta-da!
First look!
Gamine- Zara Rings in Silver: I loved these at first look but immediately thought they would be too tiny. They fit my pinkies though and I love them that way. I think I prefer it! I love the square nature and they add just a hint of edge. I may keep these. Price: $56 (Member's Price: $44.80)
Urban Gem- Webbed Pave Drop Earrings: This pic does not show the sparkliness of these earrings. Super sparkly and super pretty. They may be a little glamorous for day-to-day but I like them. I wore them last night and loved the look. I may keep these! Price: $36 (Member's Price: $28.80)
Viento- Tumbleweed Pendant in Ruthenium: I totally thought these looked like wings but apparently it's a tumbleweed... it looks like wings right? This color is really interesting and it's on a long chain so I haven't figured out how to wear it yet but I think it's a super cool piece. A conversation starter for sure.
Price: $100 (Member's Price: $80)
Verdict: Another solid RocksBox! I've been keeping one piece per box (about) and it's usually their earrings picks that I love so much and I gotta admit these earrings are pretty stellar this month too. Since the earrings are pretty cheap (at member's prices) I'll probably keep them and I'll see how often I wear the rings. This time around I am trying $192 in jewelry. Not too shabby! I'm always a fan of my RocksBox (I do have a yr long sub) and recommend it fully!

September Fancy Box Review
I got my September Fancy Box a bit ago but put off the review to put up some more "immediate" posts. That sounds super dumb but really I expect my Fancy Box pretty late in the month so I was unprepared at how early it came! TheFancy is one of my favorite sites and we always get great things in the monthly box- we get Home, Gadgets, and Men- and this month was no different. Check it out.Fancy Box:
Type: Lifestyle Box
Cost: $39+$7.95/month for regular box
What is it?: For those who don't know, TheFancy is like pinterest but for products especially cool and amazing items. When you sign up you choose 3 categories from Men's, Women's, Home, Gadgets, Media. You then receive an array of some of the cool items that are on the site. I subscribe to Home, Gadgets, and Men's. The worth is well beyond the $30 it costs and you receive amazing products! TheFancy also pairs with celebrities to make boxes- Ashton Kutcher's was $45 and currently P!nk has her own box for $35 and a Coco Rocha one. Check it out. Use my referral code to sign up for TheFancy- sign up is free it's like Pinterest. Use code FOLLOWUP10 to save 10% on your first TheFancy box! Please use my link to sign up (which is free)!
CJ didn't take a pic of the box- it was blue fyi.
Info cards
Joseph Joseph- Ovi Salt & Pepper Pinch Pots: I love Joseph Joseph! They have the coolest kitchenware and I adore their designs. Not sure what all we have in our kitchen of theirs but the first that comes to mind is our awesome fold-up strainer. Anyway, these little pots are super cool. CJ didn't know how we'd use them at first but we have "exotic" salts and herbs that we could fill these up with at dinner. Love 'em. Price: $12
Tego- Fancy Power Grid: I LOVE this. I have a power grid that totally sucks and my phone (which I DO love) has a pretty sucky battery life. It's compatible with tablets and androids and apple products aka it's amazing. I love the Fancy design too- super cute. I'd say I already use it and lives in my purse but... CJ commandeered it- I'll steal it back at some point but it's so great we will have to fight it out eventually.
Price: $60
Wild & Wolf- Cut Above the Rest Manicure Set: CJ jumped on this right away. It's really nice... nicer than what I have... Anyway, it's full of the right tools for a well-groomed man. I don't know how often CJ actually does upkeep on his nails but all these tools seem pretty multi-use. Price: $31
Fancy Notebook- 2-pack: I love my never ending supply of notebooks through sub boxes and these creatively titled notebooks add an extra pop to my "collection." I actually ordered the "$%^t I gotta F^&*ing get done" notebooks from Fancy once upon a time and I just used the last page in one. The "Things I was supposed to do yesterday that I will do tomorrow" one is PERFECT for me. Although tomorrow could be replaced with next week. CJ liked the other one better so it was perfect- he liked the added details of part 678 section 36. Price: $30
Verdict: If you couldn't tell, I caved into keeping this a Men's box. I, honestly, get a little jealous over CJ's cool stuff but it was worth it for this month (the Women's stuff was super cool though too). Anyway, the awesome power grid paid for the box completely but altogether the value crushed the pricetag coming in at $133. Woofta. Everything has already gone to use so I'd say it was a good box! Sign up for the Fancy Box now (or the Fancy site to peruse) and use code FOLLOWUP10 to save 10% off your first box.

This month has four featured boxes with one brand new one:
Crisp:
"Brace yourself for the season and beyond with a round of upgraded essentials that'll see you through the cooled-down weather in style.
Whether you’re raking leaves, cutting firewood, or just going out to watch the game over a pint, we've gathered some sharp new threads (and more) so you can look good doing it."
This box includes:
Double-Faced Cotton Scarf, 65" x 17", Gilded Age
Trust us: a scarf is the secret weapon you need to stay warm and comfortable while giving your cold weather outfit a quick style boost. Exclusively made for Bespoke by vintage-inspired clothing label Gilded Age, your new scarf captures the perfect mix of rugged and refined so you can go from yard work to a night out and anywhere in between. Throw it on for a disheveled weekend look or knot it up to complement your suit; either way, the extra length gives you lots of scarf-tying options. However you wear it -- with a warm coat when the mercury drops, or without for an easy fall look in the warmer climates -- you'll look plenty sharp with the two-toned profile and super soft 100% cotton construction.
Card Holder Wallet, Men in Cities
A put-together outfit deserves the right finishing touch. Men in Cities’ razor-thin navy and charcoal card holder wallet is made from navy and charcoal colored high-quality leather that’ll protect your cards without being loaded down with extraneous flaps and pockets. You can edit down your old, overstuffed wallet to this for a more minimal everyday carry, or you can use it for business cards or as a pared-down backup for the occasions when you only need a few cards.
Charcoal Striped Socks, Mack Weldon
Mack Weldon is known for making tech-infused underwear with old-school quality, and these socks are no different. They’ll keep your feet dry and warm with a thicker, longer construction that'll serve you well as the temperature drops but are still stretchy and breathable for those who live above the arctic circle. Pair 'em with some tough boots and give your pant cuffs a roll or two to expose the bold stripes. Note: socks comfortably fit sizes 8 - 14.
Microfiber Sheet, Declan
Don't scratch your gear with coarse paper products. Make your gadgets stay slush-free and defog your glasses with Declan’s soft and effective offerings. The best part? They look damn good while doing some heavy lifting: the printed cloths are as eye-catching as your favorite pocket square.
Lip Balm + Lotion, Carmex
Restore your chapped lips and dried hands with the same stuff that skiers and pharmacists alike swear by. Toss 'em in your bag and you'll be prepared to fight back against the changing season’s harsh effects to your skin so that you stay soft and comfortable.
This is the perfect box for Fall and I can totally see CJ in the scarf and socks. I looked up Gilded Age, online and their scarves are in the $100 range so it'd definitely be a good buy!
Cafe:
This box includes:
Madrid French Press, 1 Liter, Grosche
An electric drip machine has got nothing on this time-tested exercise in simplicity and good taste. Grosche’s top-of-the-line Madrid French Press lets you craft your own cup with an easy process that produces extraordinary results. Just steep your coffee grounds or loose-leaf tea in the hand-made beaker, press, strain and pour. It’s simple to use, but controls the brewing to your exact preferences so you'll end up with a better handle on your drink's flavor profile. Since there's better contact with the water, your cup will be richer and more full-bodied (not to mention more stylish).
Milk Frother, Red or Black, Grosche
Tired of the same cup of coffee every morning? Try out a cafe au lait, latte, cappuccino, or any other frothed milk drink instead. Just pour some milk, flip a switch, and the surprisingly strong motor whips up frothed milk at the right consistency needed for the classic coffee drinks you never thought you could make. Note: 2 AA batteries required
Dulcinea Coffee Beans, 6oz, Cafe Integral
Café Integral curates, roasts, and serves up expertly selected Nicaraguan coffees in their own small-batch blends in downtown New York. Each batch is crafted (literally) from the ground up, by carefully working with specific regions and growers to oversee every step of production. This variation has a medium body and a molasses-like sweetness along with notes of cocoa -- so, more than a few steps above your generic supermarket tin. This is how coffee is supposed to taste.
Earl Grey De La Créme Tea, 1.8oz, Tiesta Tea
That’s right, a French press can handle tea just as easily as coffee. Tiesta's Earl Grey packs black tea with vanilla and blue mallow blossoms for a sweet, creamy improvement to your morning cup. The loose blend allows for unique ingredients and a more thorough steeping process since the flavor isn’t contained to a small bag of over-processed leaves. Just toss some into your new French press, steep, strain, and enjoy a fresh take on earl grey.
This was last month's featured box and as soon as we passed on it, CJ started using our french press all the time! This one is obviously much better than our cheap-o one so we may opt for this box this month.
Aces:
This box includes:
Wooden Poker Box, Bespoke Post
If you don't already have a regular gambling night, you're going to want one now. Rather than rely on a bulky, metal, and, let’s face it, ugly poker case, we decided to build our own from scratch for a sharp and sophisticated step up that won’t look out of place in your wood-paneled, leather armchair-furnished man cave (you have one, right?). We also packed in everything you need - it all fits perfectly inside the case's plush red felt interior, along with a soft felt-lined bottom and a classic metal enclosure.
Poker Chips, Bespoke Post
These aren’t the frail plastic chips you’re used to. We’ve stocked the poker box with 360 chips in four different colors, plus a dealer chip -- plenty for your friendly home game (though what they’re worth is up to you). The 11.5 gram clay composite gives them a substantial feel and that familiar clink when you throw ‘em around, whether you’re betting on poker, blackjack, or go fish.
Cards, 2 decks, Various Casinos
You might have a drawer full of old playing cards, but how many of them came from the best casinos on the strip? These are straight from the Vegas floors, with the edges cut through to signify that they’re out of circulation (after they’ve helped people win and lose some serious money), and the casino-grade cardstock gives them a substantial feel and perfect weight.
We got this box in Sept (Sept 2013 Review) and LOVED it! Totally recommend!
Bota:
Curved Wineskin, 1 liter, WineBotas by Jesus Blasco
Bota wineskins have been used for thousands of years in Spain as a convenient and durable storage device for travelers, shepherds and farmers alike. One of only a handful of authentic bota craftsmen, Jesus Blasco leads his generations-old family business that his great great grandfather pioneered. Taking about 40 steps from start to finish, each bota is hand sewn and crafted in the small town of Sigüenza, Spain. The exterior is 100% genuine leather with a latex liner.
Surprisingly easy and effective, here's how it works: fill your bota with your favorite wine, beer, liquor, mixed drink, or non-alcoholic beverage; lift it with one hand at front and one at back; while extending your arms, squeeze for a steady squirt; sharing is caring - give your friends a go.
Dice Set, 20 wooden dice + 4 cups, Bespoke Custom Series
Dating back some 5,000+ years, dice are the oldest gaming device known to man. That type of longevity is born from dice's versatility. From Liar's Dice to Farkle, this dice set will help you pass the summer hours, throw back some drinks and win (or lose) some dollars. Included are 20 wooden dice and 4 felt-lined cups, along with a carry bag for when you're on the go.
This box was an option a few month ago and I didn't think anything of it- now looking at it again I think it'd be really fun and a brand new dice game for us!
So, what do you all think? Bespoke Post is one of our faves and this month there are 3 great options for us (not 4 since we already have one). I think we're leaning towards Bota or Cafe... Crisp will probably be available again next month so it seems ok to put it off!
Note: Bespoke Post lets you add on items- so you can get more awesome stuff! If only I could order some of the amazing old boxes!
Try Bespoke Post yourself and use code WINGMAN to save 25% off your first box!!!
